Spectrum AVC Binding & Calibration of receiver and Calibration Radio To ESC Two calibration needed ?

The issue I found out trying to calibrate & bind my avc spectrum receiver & Calibration of a castle esc to controller I’m finding that the spectrum avc pauses the signal to the esc not letting the esc calibration start is creating a issue I haven’t seen before ? I did solve it but took me 2.5 hours to then find my receiver AVC is failing in the receiver these calibration of different manufacturers can cause a issue or not allow you to fully use the esc to it full potential? Part 2 will explain more but hopefully this solves your binding issues with no throttle working after you’ve done it thanks for watching 👍

Spektrum just released a Firmware update that eliminates having to manually calibrate the AVC.

I can confirm this. It’s now called Auto Calibration. After updating to the firmware that supports it, you have to bind the car and radio while leaving the car perfectly still on a level surface. Then, it just works! I still don’t understand how it knows where endpoints are?

Hi Earl ... Yes I did see Razors comments on the last vid.... So I expected this vid to come soon. I didn't know the way all this had to be done, like sequence an all in order. I done the same with my EXB Mojave fitted the receiver and then done the calibration. Everything worked then I ran it without doing my end points on the remote. I assumed it was ok as it ran fine. I'll do it your way tomorrow just to make sure. Now I understand thanks again bro for the vid and greatly appreciated after a very long day. 😎👌

Thx Brother.... I always calibrated AVC correctly doing the first steps. I never knew I needed to do the ESC part by holding the set button. Just did all mine now after watching this. YES, it did help someone, me. Now I am 2/2 on the calibration! Thx Sir

Thanks 🙏 I try and do the esc every 4 packs to keep that full trigger calibrated as the throttle starts to get used the full trigger number change a little on the controller 💯👍

With the spectrum 6100 if you hit the bind button three times then hold down to rebind within 1.5 seconds, and rebind at this time the receiver itself turns off avs can do this with all spectrum smart avc receivers. It will blink three times on power up everytime showing avc deactivated

Your not alone bud, Sektfum is noforious for this. It would have been nice if they told us that you have to callibrate the receiver, something you previously didnt have to do

Yep, been there before when my avc played up on the felony. Was fine then suddenly went up the creak. Hit brake and would dive left or right, be on throttle and suddenly steer on its own. 😬 Got it sorted eventually.

Nice video. 26hr,that's a long work day.Calibrating receivers drives me nuts, lately. I've been having problems programming a max6 can't figure it out.This video definitely makes sense for me. I have a rc that need it. I have problems figuring out if it a max6 esc and or both 🤔. That's a awesome ending too,😜👍💯

My 8s outcast rtr is the the only rc I have ever had trouble with unbinding itself , some times have to switch rc off and on a couple of times for it to link up

Great vid. I tried a Spektrum Dx3 with the SR6110AT AVC receiver with my Typhon 6s, But prefer the old Tactic TTX300/TR326 that came with it, or even the DumboRC X6/X6FG over it. The AVC intervened with my throttle too much for my liking. But I may try it with recalibration in my Kraton 6s before selling the Tx/Rx combo. I kinda miss having left and right independent endpoints with the DumboRC combos.

Yeah the 3m tape helps absorb the landing impacts even use 2 layers of tape helps even more.

Yep and make sure the reciever is mounted level and with 3m tape than calibrate.

I have that same receiver in my TT Pro and always have problems binding it, Every time I use it it un binds and is a pain to bind back up. I just bought a flysky receiver for it because i do not like spektrum receivers 🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♂

I had trouble binding a Typhon, the orange dx5 had no reverse, binding it it would throttle up on its own, had to delete the model and do a new memory, then bind, that's where it did not work properly, the orange dx5 has the slide thing which does not work, junk as usual from Spektrum !!! I've put Traxass TSM rx in some of my cars and Nobel NB4 in my speed, Drag and crawlers.

I've got a 2020 1/5 Outcast dx3 controller I don't 😢have a clue every thing just locks it's damaged some teeth terrible. I'm gutted cost so much money. They said Rtr bit of a joke.

Hey dude ive tried using x2 avc spektrum recievers , i think there both stuffed .....there sr6110AT AND SR100AT , i calibrate them and i get steering on both with my DX3 but i cannot get throttle or reverse , and all my points are on zero on remote .......i want my AVC but think im up for a new reciever as i think the x2 i have are toast??? but why am i getting the same issue. the avc works and steering but no throttle and i tried playing with throttle trim ....aghhhhhhhhh

Rebind receiver to controller soon as it connects pull full trigger pause then full brake pause right turn pause left turn pause power off everything will work if not repeat but it will work everytime you bind that has to be done or no throttle will work just steering

One more thing make sure rc is level and receiver is mounted down can’t be loose flopping around

@@earlmoorhead5555 I have made sure nothings flopping , let me try this again... I may have touched steering too early I'm not sure... I will try this on both recievers... I don't have a digital spektrum to set values but it makes a beep when it hits zero. Should brake be on full half or nothing ? And should AVC be full , half or zero ?

Sometimes I’ve had to do this a few times even pausing at neutral before going to brake but it will activate the throttle only on the avc receivers 👍

I've tried this method x4 times on both recievers.. one reciever played up when calibrating as I turned right but when I turned left it paused and dropped out and wouldn't turn left all the way , reciever flashed and I could steer again safe to say this one's stuffed . The other one didn't do this... but will not connect after calibration
