Talk about value for the money! While I'd certainly update the bathrooms, try to add a full bath to the top floor there is very little that has to be done. I wouldn't change out the flooring. They add a certain quirky charm. A professional cleaning/polishing and they'd be gorgeous.

Wow - what a beautiful house, Brad! It’s a little too far out for me (I prefer to be in town), but it will make a wonderful home for someone! I just love it! I would absolutely use the small room upstairs to put in a bathroom or two (could be one en suite and another that opens to the hallway - looks big enough to do that). And definitely take out that ugly glass and metal divider wall in front of the stairs in the entryway. There’s so so much space downstairs - you could do something really special down there. Great find! I’m back in Italy again next month … if we’re in your neck of the woods, I’ll be sure to say hi! Hi to Oly and the pups!

That's a really nice house 😃 and a lot of the rooms downstairs and a couple of those rooms upstairs. Have gorgeous Italian tile. I don't know why you would want to get rid of the Italian gorgeous tile. Of course there are properties with tiles that aren't nice at all!! but a lot of these rooms are really nice. All you have to do is clean and polish them And they' will be great Having nice old Italian tiles in your home. Just gives you more of that Good feeling of Italy that I wouldn't want to erase but that's me 🥰 thank you guys great video 👍

I personally love that kind of flooring. I wonder if you could pay to have that powerline run underground through the property I doubt it would cost much it doesn't look like a major transmission line.

oh I'm so glad you thought that "thing" in the entry way had to go. That was so ugly. I'm not sure that could survive the first day. Okay, where do I send the check? That house is everything I'm dreaming of. It appeared in a condition where you would only be doing cosmetic work, more or less. Hopefully the plumbing and electrical would be usable as is, without a total retro fit. I'd budget a redo of the baths and kitchen. myself, and maybe the floors too. That place is so doable. You could get in a cleaning crew and a yard crew and move right in. It's architecturally a lovely house. I love it! It even has a garage and that expansive cantina. In order to furnish a place that big I'd want to set up my wood shop to restore antiques and do some sculpture. Is Francesca's place the half of that existing larger old palas? I don't know what camera you got, but everybody showing these houses should have one. seriously. Sorry, I'm rambling.
@BradsWorld6 ай бұрын
Thanks for all the great comments. Yes Francesca's is the big palace I featured last fall. first thing I always do with new properties is total cleanup especially of outside so when you arrive on site you feel like you have already done so much work. I even did that on our €700/mo farmhouse we rent in Tuscany... Trimmed 120 olive trees (first 40 by hand!) the day we arrived. Well, it took over 2 weeks of constant effort. Thanks for watching. And BTW the camera is amazing. That cantina was basically pitch BLACK and it looks like a sunny day with the low light feature. BRAD

Lots of potential in this property, for sure. Brad I have a side question to ask in regard to this and other properties you facilitate fantastically. Can you please mention whether the property has city water & sewer in place, especially in an area as this property is. Thanks !

Haha, I am always amazed that many, if not all, the places i have on my list you eventually cover... we must be of like mind and your channel my go to. On a side note, i still believe you should be putting a list of qualified contractors and architects as most, if not all, of these homes need some work.

The more I think about this home the more I like it. Yes it is in a small village but the area is so pretty and if.you needed a space for doing your hobby or work like furntiure etc it would be awesome. You can probably get it for €160K and put in some sweat equity and have a hell of a place to call home (or vacation home!)... -BRAD

I like the look of the old floors. Nice yard for garden n pets. Does need some updating. Italians have tiny bathrooms. My only concern is the downward slope of driveway to garage. Heavy downpours could mean water issues??

I didn't see any flooding issues but always good idea to check everything. I only have about 60 mins to film and check these places, always do due dilegence. BRAD

@wayneevans50506 ай бұрын
if they redid a floor like that, would they chip up all the existing tile or lay new tile over that? That house seems huge, but my house in Houston is 2000 sq ft and looks much smaller. Maybe its just camera angle.
@BradsWorld6 ай бұрын
If the floor is solid, they could go over it. We did that over a commerial terra cotta floor in my biggest palace apartment. Worked out just fine. It would be a TON of work to pull up all that tile. It isn't bad, maybe with the right rugs you could get away with keeping it if that is your style! BRAD

Might be depending on the area! Depends on what people think of having broken and missing tiles on floor. Some will say part of the charm, but the same could be said for cracked beams, funky windows etc… Care for the past and comfort in the present. That’s what I say…! 🥳

Yeah but there is a reason why they are half the price. And there is a reason why the government gives you tax breaks to live there. Why cities are willing to give families money to move to the south….

Please please! You film from your chest out and we can only see the top of areas. It is like being set up on a blind date and only seeing the person from neck up. And barreling through a house without looking side to side. It's like trying to get a house tour with a camera stuck to the head of a giraffe charging through the house trying to get out. Toilets, side alcoves, around corners if rooms are unable to be seen unless you jerk down once every few rooms. I was so excited finding your channel with the better homes but I can't see anything from your chest height down. It us very frustrating. Also hard for people who get motion sick. I'm on my 3rd video trying really hard to watch and end up yelling at the screen in frustration. It takes all the fun out of it. It shouldn't cause frustration. Sorry, thought it may help, and selfishly I would actually like to watch your videos but can't as is.
