@@palimelodies793 just a quick correction. Trans Atlantic accent was around way before the 40s. It was used to show wealth akin to someone wearing Gucci or Prada and speaking like an intellectual today. It was only thaught in private schools and was only see in the rich neighborhoods. It was after "talkies" that they began speaking with a higher treble bc like u said they lacked the equipment to pick up bass in a voice. Basically it was used as a status symbol. @alexisasheep65543 жыл бұрын
@@agoodkid immunity to deadly preventable diseases, bc of that immunity you can't spread the disease to others around you like your kids. Being immune from the vaccine also means that you can't suffer lasting side effects of those diseases, like brain damage from a disease that makes you cough a whole bunch and you can't breathe so the oxygen levels in your blood drop which can then, often times might I add, lead to brain damage ranging from temporary amnesia to mental regression. Other side effects might be scars on organs (such as the lungs or heart) loss of sight, hearing, tasting, smelling, the entire bowl system could get paralysed or severely damaged to the point where it can barely function. There's also the diseases that can make you paralysed or forever compromise your immune system. There's a lot more and even more that I've either forgotten to mention or don't know about. A lot of kids, especially the infants, are more likely to die within their first 5 years of life. Parents in the olden times had a lot of kids because 1) no contraceptives and 2) those kids would die from diseases we have vaccines for today. That's why infant mortality rate has gone down in modern times. Really buddy, google is your friend. There's more evidence proving people who thing vaccines don't work wrong than evidence supporting your claims. Vaccines work, they're not harmful unless you have a compromised immune system or severe allergies to something they use in the vaccine. Talk to you doctor about it or call whatever place knows most about vaccines and how they work, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you understand it.

They have jingles to stuck in your head, the idea is that when the commercial is over it sticks in your head. Then when you go to buy a pack, Kent cigarettes, for instance, would be in the back of your mind and that would influence your purchase (preferably in favour of Kent cigarettes). What's interesting is no matter how effective a jingle is, it still depends on the person. No matter how catchy the jingle, people have no choice over their tastes in music, so they may detest the jingle and therefore the cigarette brand. It's truly interesting, the golden age of advertising.

The idea was to sell menthol cigarettes because they seemed less harsh. I’m old enough that I remember cigarette ads on television and one of those ads was for Salem cigarettes that had the jingle “you can take Salem out of the country, but! you can’t take the country out of Salem”. The surgeon general warning and the evidence that smoking contributed to cancer was starting to pile up. So this was, I think, a way to circumvent people quitting.

My father always had a carton on top of the fridge and anther in his truck. He never complained when the carton on top of the fridge was missing a few packs. I’ve quit twice since then, but always started back up. Been nearly 30 years now.

I worked at a gas station and that’s how I memorized which cigs were Newport’s because I wasn’t to familiar at first with all of them since I was new and don’t smoke cigs

Can't wait to take clips from these and edit them into a 60's high school dance video with melancholic indie music playing over it

What I learned from this video: York has imperial sized cigarettes Kent has a filter Newport has a minty taste What exactly do I do with this information

Keltic Warrior88 Go get yourself a pack of Newport’s of course!! They go great with the fresh winter air and I highly recommend them. They’re the second most popular smoke in the USA after Marlboro!!

stay clean from cigs. I’ve been smoking since I was 13 and I’m at a point where quitting seems impossible, shit sucks
@gat37254 жыл бұрын
@cat attack Been smoking since I was 14/15 I'm almost 18 now and I've tried nicotine gum.. didn't work. Tried vaping it worked but I can't always afford pods so I go back to smoking. The only thing that actually helped me because it was affordable was juul but those are basically extinct now, cig companies probably did it they don't want people to quit.
@dumcrapcat4 жыл бұрын
@gat I use to smoke cigs but I’ve successfully switched to vaping the juice lasts me 2-3 weeks per bottle and it’s $17 a bottle where I live and coils are cheap too. Now I just need to quit vaping and I’ll be good lol
@kx12604 жыл бұрын
Smoke one at least . Make it good too. I smoked for 2 years, the shit isn't hard to quit at all in my opinion.
