@Based_Gigachad_001 i mean there's also the fact that like smoking was at one point considered a really bad thing in this universe, so there's incentive to stop it completely from that perspective, and there's a lot less reason to smoke on account of the space utopia thing. I can see smoking being forgotten about after a few generations of people purposefully avoiding it also, it is kind of ribbing on Star Trek also not having any smoking at all so that's the doyalist reason

I started smoking cannabis years ago as a teenage, switched to cigarettes. Spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

Orville is definitely a less square version of the Trek universe.

Indeed. When this show was advertised as a "Star Trek" parody created by Seth MacFarlane, I expected it be stupid humor similar to "Family Guy". When the show premiered, it presented intriguing storyline, good characters, scoring, and jokes that were natural. The music, set, and general feel of the show captured the feeling of Star Trek while all of the CBS creations betray the optimism of humanity at its best portrayed by previous Star Trek shows. STD storylines are not fleshed out, it has unlikable characters, and has a feeling of darkness presented by both the crew and dark lighting in the ship. STD tries to compensate using eye candy with special effects to cover up the dreary mess of show CBS created.
