I wish they told you if the power supply comes with cables to power SATA hard drives as I have two 4TB hard drives of games. I hate to spend thousands of dollars and cant even hook up a hard drive without buying a new power supply or trying to figure out how to get extra cables from the Power supply maker. Also knowing how many extra M.2 slots are available would be nice. To spend thousands and only get 1TB or 2TB M.2 SSD is a crime. I had trouble with my external USB drive making my windows have to reinstall USB driver so I dont use it anymore.

I would also like to say that if you go full budget on the prebuilt systems with an RTX 3060. If the 3060 is the single fan (Pheonix), make sure you have excellent airflow in your case or you will see high temps over 85c. If you can ensure you get a dual fan or a larger case allowing for good airflow you should be good to go. I made that mistake and after getting a new case, my temps dropped almost 20c at full use.

4 days of research, 17 videos on CPU vs Gpu and combinations. i cant even begin to tell you how much the first 10 minutes of this video were the most informative, straight forward comparisons i ever found as to what are comparable units for builds, what to avoid and what is best. and pairing that up with pre builts that have proper groupings finally told me what i needed to know over all and thanks to you i have a solid idea of what i want and how much ill need to spend. ive been trying to find a build that fits my needs, but all i could find is videos about builds based on price points and budgets. how do i know how much i need to budget if i dont know what i need?? lol. this video told me what the teirs are for components, relevant builds, and based on the price points, told me roughly where i would need to budget to get something ill be happy with. all i knew was i wanted something 70 to 80% the power of a current top builds that can handle 1440p, VR and multi tasking with some upgradability if i should want to i know some people want a gaming pc now and have 1000.00 and need to know what the best build is for that price, but my philosophy is find what will do what you need and make you happy, and if it is more than your budget, either find ways to cut the price down, or wait a little longer and put more money in the budget. if the PC right for me turns out to be 2000.00 then i should save up for that instead of just getting something i can afford right this second. im shooting for 1440p gaming with provisions for VR gaming, CAD design and 3d modeling, streaming and light video editing. preferably something i wont need to upgrade for 7 to 10 years so im not ending up with lots of computer towers all over lol. i feel im roughtly in the ballpark of an i7 with a 4070ti thats 16gb and now that i know that, i can figure out the ram i need, the type of cooling and case size ill need as well as which board yada yada. once the cpu and gpu fell into place i could figure out what else i need and have a rough idea of cost, or at least i can make a shopping list to get an idea of cost to save up for which was ultimately my goal

@Kwstr425 ай бұрын
@@kelley09162 i am getting a parts list together with prices and i can look at prebuilts, if i find one that is what im looking for for the same price or cheaper, then i can get that and save time, costs and hassles of building my own. if not, building my own would be fine. my goal is to find the system i need and want, then save up for it over a couple paychecks. i have money set asside i just need to know how much more ill need. the hard part isnt building as much as figuring out the parts i need to get to ensure it works correctly. my base requirements are minimum 16gb vram to cover what i need for VR, an intel processor with integrated graphics and at least 8 cores for productivity tasks i will need to do and i want a cpu and gpu that will compliment each other performance wise. everything else will be based on what the cpu and gpu are, which is why i feel an i7 and a 4070 ti super 16gb are probably a good combo that will last me a while. should be good for vr gaming while streaming and also productivity when im doing other hobbies and its solid 1440p gaming and still 4k compatible. based on a quick back of the napkin math its about 2100.00 over all, but thats without price shopping so probably less. ultimately i dont need it right away as im in a transitioning period, so by the time im ready for one, this will be good, or the same money could get me a better rig, my goal is by the end of summer but thatd close to the new line up of gear, so there might be some used 4090s going on the market for a lower price than the current price of the 4070 ti super lol

Getting a PCIE 5.0 PSU isn't that important since you're not getting a Nvidia 4000 GPU. The new PSUs come with the 12VHPWR Connector to match that of the 4000 Series GPU but since you're getting an AMD GPU it doesn't matter.

My composition in case you need it: My PC is for coding and programing(Machine Learning and Deep Learning) + also to be good for gaming (not priority), also I am not person who plays newest FPS games (maybe sometimes) mostly strategy games like Total War. This is my build: Case: NZXT H6 FLOW (up to 365 mm (14.37) inches in length for GPU) so it should be fine with 68 and 78 hopefully. PSU: SEASONIC Focus GX 750W ATX 3.0, 80+Gold (ATX3-FOCUS-GX-750) Gen5, apart from dragon model 7800xt which said recommended 800W all others should be fine.. Just curious as I do not know much about pc gaming just now looking at getting into , so my question...most of these brands do not seem like top brand names is there a reason for this and what is the quality and longevity of these pc's I am not trying to be that guy...its just that its pretty expensive either way so having no familiarity with a lot of these brands makes me cautious.

Out of curiosity what makes you recommend the 3060 over the 4060ti for 1080p? Is it just the vram? Cause I am sure the 4060ti is significantly better like 30-40% stronger and 8gb vram is more than enough for 1080p
@kelley091628 ай бұрын
Yes it's the VRAM. If you can afford a GPU with more than 8GB of VRAM you should get one.
@ningensan81987 ай бұрын
@@kelley09162 That doesn't really make sense though. Extra vram above 8gb is not necessary nor will it give any substantial improvement on 1080p 99% of the time. On the otherhand, the 4060ti outperforms the 3060 in every other aspect so it really is a stupid recommendation
