Airball's commander and companion choices took me back to the early-mid-80s, when I watched Dr. Who on PBS. He is the *only* Doctor--embodying the perfect combination of cheek and know-how. A couple years ago at the renfaire here, there was a guy who dressed up as him--and even had real, proper Jelly Babies. That made my day.

After a few games I took the fourth Doctor deck and did some tinkering now it is the Sixth Doctor/Romana 2. It is crazy how powerful the Sixth Doctor is despite the ''Once per turn clause''; my friends and I joke that the Sixth Doctor is a ''fixed'' version of Miirym. I recently had a game where I played the perfect flavored card for my deck, Trial of a Time Lord and made a copy of it, that card should actually read ''Exile target commander for the next 3 turns'' and than the next turn played Three Blind Mice, make a copy... Yeah there was many many Trials of the Time Lord that day. I love that there is so many new interesting cards in these decks and even more so when you gloss over a card and later come back and are like ''This card is GOOD'' that's me with Sixth Doctor and Romana 2 LOL :P

A lot of people were not wanting universes beyond, but they’ve been the most fun well-designed products imo. These decks were awesome and got a couple friends into playing that were who fans but not necessarily mtg. They were interested why I was interested and had them play the decks.

If Airball decided to crew the TARDIS he could’ve cascaded after casting Night of the Doctor. It’s not too bad because he can get it back.

so I just watched Shuffle up and play, I hope to see different versions of the doctor decks here. And it looks like we have different decks here, I think Weggie's commander was played but not the companion so not the same. Wait.. "Trial of the time lord" is super cool with Gandalf the white or Elesh Norn Mother of machines, because each of those triggers twice putting 2 things on trial each time. 40:10 waw! how to enrage 3 groups of nerds instantly (Dr. Who, Star Wars and Star Trek) with 2 sentences. So this was just the precons, no upgrades or anything? I mean, these do some nutty stuff. my initial thoughts were right, the villian deck is really cool, but I really like 3 of the doctors as well. The war doctor, which Gavin played on Shuffle up and play was really cool. I like the third doctor, the one that gives +1/+1 counters and I like the tenth doctor that Weggie played, I think it's nuts, it awakens my inner Timmy (doing big splashy stuff)

The important lesson from this game to me is: when someone announces a played creature is indestructible, *always* make a metal note of who has it and what it is 😂 But the error was great for Gavin lol 🎉

Great show. Amazing having players that knew and could explain the lore and flavor of the cards. Hope this keeps up with other universes beyond sets. Still think y’all screwed up the Warhammer release beyond all expectations.

Could someone enlighten me ? I'm not really aware of the suspend mechanic so i don't understand a thing or two about it... Especially why can you resuspend a card after all the time counters are gone ? Doesn't it go to the graveyard ?

You cast suspend cards for a cheaper cost, except card that simply give others suspend. They are cast for free once out of time counters and enter the battlefield or resolve and go to gy. The refrain got resuspended because it specifically does so.

As a cascade enjoyer i have to remind everyone, that it`s a "may cast" so Airball could've saved the Vrestin from going to the bin (not that it would've made a difference i guess, but nice to know imo)

Airball could have chose not to cast the vrestin he hit with the cascade couldn't he of? To my knowledge that may have been the cascade target, but it should be a may on the cast. He could have just put it on the bottom with the rest of the cards.

I completely redid the 4th doc and Sarah Jane smith and made it and enter the infinite with lab maniac, my deck tinkers a lot so I’m very unexpected, then all of a sudden I’m tapping clues foods and treasures to cheat up enter the infinite and cast thasas oracle

Am I the only one who feels baffled when in group MTG games with no teams and people talk about things like there IS a team effort somewhere or like someone destroying their 8/8 creature wasn’t a good move (when ANY big creature you don’t control deserves to be destroyed)?
