Hell yeah boys. Open water eyes. Won't be long and it'll be bumper boats out there.

Oh lord, it definitely won’t be long now! This weather we are having is crazy!
@justinjhauser51109 ай бұрын
@@NBedits it sure is, but I'll take it! Pretty much snow free Northern WI in February doesn't get much crazier. Big belly walleyes and turkey hunting is just around the corner!

Nice video. What size snap are you using with your jigs? Is there any time you tie direct vs. using a snap?
@NBedits9 ай бұрын
Many of the Frostbite products actually come with snaps. Personally I love them because I can change out quickly, and some of them actually help the bait with its respective presentation. There are times where I tie directly, but usually I have a snap tied on to stay quick and mobil!
@mattdebroux94809 ай бұрын
@NBedits thanks for the reply. I've always tied direct but I hate that because of cutting and tying again. I just wasn't sure if I'd be losing action with a snap, but I'll have to give it a try this spring.

I was going to ask the same question about using a snap vs tying on the line..😅

I absolutely love my piscifun carbon x 2000! What line do you normally use on your reels for walleye?
@NBedits9 ай бұрын
Usually use 10-15 lb braid depending on what we are throwing. Then the same with a fluoro leader!

No open water fishing for me until April at the earliest, that's my rule! Still, I enjoy watching you guys catch fish!

Would an extra fast tip rip the lips on those smaller ones? I'm not a crazy high-sticker, I'm just being lazy. I have a setup and I don't feel like switching out the rod.
@NBedits9 ай бұрын
That would definitely be fine!!

We don’t want the ice to go away either! We love ice fishing! But we do love chasing walleyes on the river! Felt good to bust out the long rods but I’m sure we will be back on the ice atleast one more time very soon!

To go away yet. Bro we had solid ice for 1 week. Not even long enough for whitefish. Battle on Bago was canceled. The only positive is the bayflies will spawn early
