In my experience, we cannot generalize the whole of south India, and I know if you every get to South India, you would first go to Kerala, so do not try Dosa and Idly in Kerala, Kerala is very unique and they have their own yummy food options that are different from Karnataka, TamilNadu, Andhra or Telengana. If you ever want to try authentic Dosa or Idly or filter coffee , my choice would be in the order of Karnataka/Tamil Nadu and then Andhra/Telengana.

Its vidhyarthi bhavan any day over MTR!! Sorry but it is what it is!! MTR is famous for its rava idli which they didn't eat! That with their ghee is OMGGG!!! But for dosa.. VB definitely wins!!

@@Niren_Sharma i have been to Amritsar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Murthal. Loved the food. But after a week, heart craves for hot sambar with idly and a crisp on the outside, soft on the inside dose. Just the way we are made, that is why this is the staple here and that is the staple there. Our generation is better, my father's generation couldn't survive with Punjabi food for more than 2 days, they were waiting to get back to Delhi to get to Saravana Bhavan and get their dose of Rice and sambar
