Early morning is my absolute favourite time to be in the garden. What a beautiful way to start the day.

Beautiful area. It's nice seeing some new vantage points as well. Your wreath turned out really nicely.

Your sunny weather is so beautiful. I’m in the darkest of days of winter. My daylight has increased by 1/2 hour thus far. It picks up speed. I planted 4 plum trees. 3 beachplum shrubs. This years project is wild blueberry sod planted in full sun. I’ve planted lisianthus and see my first sprouts today. Other flowers to follow. You’re doing awesome! Love your videos! 💦☀️🌿

Hi, new subscriber here from Bundaberg region.... You got me when you spoke at the start about how hot your summers are despite being down south. It was several years of gardening in my subtropical climate before I realised 90% of gardening advice came from Europe or the Americas. We are more like an African climate! Our summers are brutal in comparison to other countries, and growing summer crops where I am is near impossible, we call them winter crops instead... LOL. I'm doing a large shade structure to try and give more protection and I've planted morringa for shade as I can cut it back hard when it gets too big. I'm looking forward to watching your other videos... 😊

Hi Cathy! Yep, i know your summers are so so so hot it juts fries everything! Australia is a harsh country for sure. Hopefully I can be a good garden representative for the Southern Hemisphere! Yes we are very much like South Africa !

I have always wanted to get my hands on some smokebush plants. I want to use their leaves for eco dyeing fabric. Good luck with yours. I hate summer gardening, even more so this season because I'm grieving the sudden loss of my husband. I love your videos, you are so inspirational! x

Sorry for your loss. I pray your garden acts as a therapeutic space as you grieve this significant loss.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this 😭, it makes me want to cry with you. Be gentle with yourself, grief really takes it out of you. So interesting the smoke bush leaves make a good dye! I’m pretty sure I found these ones at Bunnings!

But the garden will still be there when you feel like coming back to it. So don’t stress about it. Xx

I have a collection of abandoned bird nests too and was wondering what to do with them! Great idea to use them on a wreath ❤🪹

I think it will look so so cute!! I’m glad I’m not the only one with a collection of bird nests!! They are just so sweet!

Your nets made me smile as my backyard looks like a net paradise I have 7 in different spots to try and protect the tomatoes and capsicum and fruit from the birds and possums trouble is I have lots of tomatoes on the bushes but not ripening they have to start soon. Am picking zucchini,peas, herbs and cucumbers and pumpkins are going crazy but tomatoes just don’t want to ripen
@phaedragardeness16 күн бұрын
Mine aren’t ripening either. They didn’t last year as well. I wonder what’s going on? The nets are the only way to actually get abthribt!!

Do you often encounter ridicously sized spiders and general hazards while being in nature in Australia?
@phaedragardeness15 күн бұрын
Yes 😭😭😭😭. All the time. And most days we find big spiders inside the house. Snakes, spiders, big bugs. I don’t like it at all. That’s why I bang my shoes before I put them on.. and most days a spider comes one. Usually tiny but sometimes a big one!
