We make awesome meat balls with our mince. The yellow label from Asda is great , our Indian friends sent us some rice only Asians can cook to perfection. We added a yellow tin of Irish Stew , Chili Con Carne, stewed steak to the diced cooked vegetables , it was quick and delicious and fed loads of people. The yellow labels are great value.

A dozen Sausage, egg, cheese on a muffin; several mince and tatties; a few cottage pies; and a week's worth of tea with milk and sugar. All for L30. We'll done.

I have membership for the company shop and it is helping protect me from the cost of living prices. For example, bread is usually 40p and they recently have had magnum icecreams, pack of 3 for £1. I am very grateful to be able to save money in this way.

@@cheds1 well I'm on the Dean's List at Central Michigan University my name is Katherine Nottingham you're full of it. There's certainly is nutritional value in peas and carrots, in corned beef, I am looking at potatoes, I am looking at a chain 9 do you understand what that is? She does have a perfect chain 9 right here. I know that you're blowing in the wind and your blow stinks. We are prime of midlifers. We're not going to take your negative Nelly stuff. @@cheds1 you are wrong. She has created what we call the nine chain it's in science right there is a perfect combination of protein carbohydrate vegetable. The only thing she's missing is a fruit. A great haul, lots of different meals there. Good to see some beef too, as it's getting very expensive now. I don't know if you ever catch Backyard Chef YT, but he did a cracking mince and barely Yorkshire dinner. It reminded me of when I used to use Pearl barley in all my mince dishes and beef stews. Worth a try, as it is very tasty and nutritious, and has a good texture. I have 400g of lidl mince for dinner, which will probably end up as meat balls in cream and blue cheese sauce to use up the random bit of blue cheese from the fridge. Stay warm up there in Scotland.

If you're going to make shepherds pie if you cook up some parsnips with your potatoes to mash and go on top,it tastes good It's even better on lamb mince which used to be cheap in Australia but is now unaffordable There's a push lately for people to give up red meat which I'm not agreeing with. I won't be switching to crickets any time soon
