Early morning storms makes for a set of "thunderous" meets on the Marceline Sub; H1/Warbonnet Lashup

8.24.24 Floyd & Hardin, MO - BNSF Marceline Sub
The rain and thunderstorms kept the drone on ground for most of the morning...with the exception of this very short window, a window just long enough to catch this east/west meet of two intermodals passing through Floyd, MO. It wasn't so much the rain as it was the lightening, didn't want a drone 100 feet in the air to become a lightening magnet. Shortly after this catch I got a heads up about an eastbound grainer with an H1/BNSF Warbonnet lashup leading so I headed to Hardin. Radar looked clear near Hardin but by the time I got there it was not the rain, not the lighting, so the second meet of grainers comes courtesy of the non-flying camera.

Thanks John! Yeah, it's been a minute since I've seen an actual Santa Fe Warbonnet on the mainline...guess I'll have to settle for the faux bonnets until BNSF decides to do a series of heritage units in Blue Bonnet and Warbonnet colors👊
