@@deirdrekiely6187 i’ve been better lately. but the reason i gave up on going to the doctor is bc when i had an ulcer, they refused to do any tests on me and instead told me to take nexium which made my ulcer so much worse. this went on for 5 months and they wouldn’t do anything about it. IM the one that figured out i had an ulcer just by research. i told the doctor to give me this specific medicine- can’t remember what it’s called but it’s for ulcers. once i i took it when for a couple weeks, i was fine. i went back to the doctor around the time i made this comment to get a scan. they said everything looked fine and said i probably just have severe IBS (which i already knew). but the scan was around $700 which is crazyyy so now im scared to go to the doctor if i ever have these issues again bc it’s just too expensive 😭 id rather suffer

may be your food isn't digesting by stomach acid. Your stomach acid production is too low and your remaining food is digesting by fermentation and bacteria. The gas from fermentation is the frequently burping. This means your food is rotting in there to dissolve instead of breaking down from stomach acid. If this is true sometimes you might also feel nausea because of the way of this process. This might be, I'm not a doctor. Think this over and do more research and ask more questions before taking any action yourself

I was recently diagnosed with chronic gastritis with focal intestinal metaplasia, due to h pylori and nasaids, in 2019 H Plyroi was eradicated and tests were done in 2021 to check for h Plyroi came back negative, however now there’s new diagnosis, Intestinal Metaplasia with Chronic Gastritis, will this definitely lead or develops into gastric cancer, my doctor only prescribed acid blockers, can you elaborate on the severity of this diagnosis?

Hey there. Chronic gastritis means long term inflammation of your stomach wall lining . Intestinal metaplasia means that the cells on your stomach wall lining are changing to more resembling the cells of your intestine due to the inflammation. There is a higher risk of cancerous change in your stomach in the long run. So acid blocker is a treatment for this problem

In my opinion - it’s not the screening test for cancer. If blood count is low- it indicates possibly blood loss and the need to search for possible source of blood loss.

Abdominal ultrasound is not the best way to diagnose stomach tumor. An endoscope is the investigation of choice. Different organs require different modes of imaging.

Hi uma. Untreated H pylori infection in the long term may cause gastric cancer. But once treated and eradicated - the risk of gastric cancer due to H.Pylori should be gone

​@@alohablue2907 not only biopsy actually, muscle walls of the stomach r periodically reduced, this poses a differentiation problems between muscle contraction and wall thickening, furthermore, to estimate wall thickness we should straighten wall, also MRI frame rate much lower than CT scan which makes MRI poorly sensitive for the walls of the hollow organs, alternative way to check it out is fluoroscopy with double contrast, but endoscopy's still gold standard for diagnosis of cancers (especially early cancer), but make sure endoscope has NBI function and better to do it under sedation

I was diagnosed with H pylori 8 months ago. Got the triple treatment with antibiotics + proton inhibitor. Then retook a breath test and tested negative. H pylori infection does increase the chance of gastric cancer . I don’t quite understand what u mean by blood biopsy for cancer? But yes - endoscopy is the best way of detecting gastric cancer

@@SGDrWellness thank you for reply. My Dr. Took some blood samples from me(to look for anemia in case there is internal bleeding) she told me my blood test was normal. A second breath test and no H pylori was detected. But i still feel some discomfort on my esophagus as if it "closes up" when i speak. I never vomit during the H pylori infection or passed any blood in stools. I might ask her for a stool test(just in case) on top of the Endoscopy. What other tests would you suggest? 30% of people respond to mega dose Vit C, however you need to check your tolerance, don't start out with it high, and I mean 2000mg a day, start low and make sure you can tolerate it. Go to a specialist as well, thats the primary thing. You also may have food allergies which are basically auto immune issues
