Yah cool angle... But it was a early stoppage by a tad, Yet, Aljo did not help himself by rolling face down at the end.... also the person in front of the camera jumped in the way right when the striking began, we missed some... but looked like a blast, thanks

tbh, this makes the stoppage seem even more early. Not necessarily a bad stoppage, but early (not all early stoppages are necessarily bad). Rolling to avoid punches to me is a sign of still intelligently defending oneself. Chances of Sean letting him recover are pretty low, but as a champ I feel like Marc Shouldve let Aljo work in the turtle for a little bit
@WhyIsItSoHotOut
@WhyIsItSoHotOut 7 ай бұрын
I'd think rolling to his stomach like that puts him in a more vulnerable position where he can no longer defend from much of anything other than punches to the face. I almost see it as kind of a submitting position because he can no longer fight back from that position. Just kind of sitting there waiting for the stoppage. I do agree though when it comes to championship bouts or fights where an undefeated record are in play, I'd like to see the ref hold out a bit longer just in case some miracle happens.

It in fact was an early stoppage. I hate seeing people get dominated for 3 rounds like whenever khabib fights someone, but that didn't happen here. I'm sure O'Malley would've still won but Sterling didn't get a chance from the dumb ref.

It looks even more like an early stoppage from this angle! I guess it comes down to what your idea of an MMA fight should be. Should it be called after a set number of unreturned strikes or should it continue until one fighter can’t defend themselves effectively or has sustained too much damage. Sterling clearly had a lot more in him.
