This is cool and all, but how does one with it, handle the stages of it during an outbreak? What are you supposed to do if the bumps burst the fluid? How do you properly clean it up so you don’t further spread the condition after they burst? How fast will it spread if you itch it with your hands and touch another area? Is it immediate, gradual like within an hour or so, or you won’t be able to tell till the next time you have an Outbreak… How are you supposed to properly wash the area, so you don’t spread it to other areas?

Soap will already kill the virus, so cleaning sores with warm water and soap will suffice. If you have antibodies, it will be hard to spread herpes to other areas.

Hi, I’m a female that gave oral to another woman for 30-45 secs 9 days ago. Not sure of her status ( I know : /) About 4 days later I started having tingling/burning feel. It's very intermittent and isn't in one specific place in my lip area. It sort of jumps around. Could I have gotten hsv1? No bumps or lesions have appears and tomorrow will be day 10 post exposure. Could I please have your thoughts?

It's impossible to say and unless you will get an outbreak, you probably won't test positive for herpes for a few weeks, if you did indeed get herpes at that point.

My lips have been burning for months from time to time. I never once thought it could be herpes since I never broke out into a cold sore. I have since been tested and diagnosed with HSV-1 but still have yet to get a cold sore but my lips still burn for multiple days at a time. Any tips on how to relieve this sensation?

Several times a day? Is your skin cracked, dry? Because herpes outbreaks come and go. You wouldn't feel sensations every day. It's hard to say what's going on, but if this is constant, it's unlikely that it's herpes.

Hi I’ve had the fever and 1 sore in the inside of my lip it has gone away within a day and a half and then my lip started to tingle today but no sores on outside of lips. I got tested yesterday and getting the results back in a few days but I fear I got tested too soon

Herpes usually appear outside the mouth. Inside sounds more like canker sores. But, the best way to know is to get them swabbed when they are still fresh. You would get an accurate result like that. Don't test them when they already start to heal. It might already show negative.

It can come in many different forms, like bug bites, paper cuts, razor burns, blisters, etc.

If you have genital herpes, you most likely don't have it elsewhere.

If it was one single blister, it could be chancroid. Chancroid mimics herpes only difference being one blister, and sometimes 2. A primary and secondary blister where the seconddary one is usually smaller and heals before the first/primary one. It's an STD and is caused by a bacteria. It is also 100% curable with the same set of antibiotics used to treat ghonnarea. Still do a herpes test. There are no real reliable test for chancroid.

The chances are low, especially if she didn't have outbreak. The transmission can only occur if she had an outbreak, or was shedding at the time. We cannot say whether that was the case, but the chances are low.

@@Mountainman524 People can have the virus (both HSV-1 & HSV-2) and never have an outbreak/experience symptoms. Generally, herpes is not included on STD screening panels... which is why most people do not know that they have the virus until they begin experiencing symptoms and get tested. Further, if a person is not having an active outbreak (while having the virus) but they do get tested for herpes, the test can come back negative. This is because the testing done for herpes detects if antibodies are present within the sample (blood/other bodily fluids). Hence, if a person is not having an outbreak or in the "shedding" phase, their body does not produce antibodies to fight the virus. Hopefully, this helped!

I have a normal herpes break out, then once a year I have a cluster of a breakout that hurts more than my normal one. When I say cluster, I mean as in a double breakout in one spot that is swollen.
