The thing that kinda bugs me is when doctors/researchers say if you're infected, you can only start to show symptoms after 2-4 weeks of infection, if any at all. I find that ridiculous only because everyone's body and immune systems are different. Some have better immune systems than others so to speak. I've heard of a few people who noticed symptoms 3-5 days after and unfortunately found + around then.

It doesnt matter if it was your first or 4th encounter. You are of age, and have had intercourse, You should get tested not only for your comfort but for hers even if it was just a hook up. Also get tested again in a couple of months *3-5* for more certainty, If you are intending on remaining sexually active, you should get tested regularly period, and not just for hiv, even if you use protection.

thanks for the vids =) i would also like to tell some folks to get tested, it's hard to think of sitting in a room and waiting for results, it's scary, but it's all the better you know, so you can get treatment. it's not a death sentence, change your style of living, eat healthy, exersize, take your medicine, go for check ups. and go get tested, so when the nurse says "you are Negative" you'll have all the weight lifted off your shoulders, you walk out wit a spring in your step

I had 2 questionable encounters this month although I used a condom in both cases the women were very seedy.... About a week after the first 1 I had a sore throat for a couple of days and also I have felt strange in general and have had sporadic itchiness, but no rash and no fever/temperature. i'm pretty sure it would be bad, but the sore throat comes from the lymph nodes, tonsils are also lymph nodes, so if they are swollen and tender to the touch. i am not sick myself but i have had a scare. don't listen to all these "the tests don't work" they are just looking at propaganda. get tested. i know it sounds scary, it's a biiiiig "what if" but once you hear the nurse say "you're negative" a huuuge weight will be lifted from your shoulders, don't be scared, be tested

The test is like 90% accurate, but its suggested to do a followup test in 3 months for better accuracy.
