My district also uses Twig (online version only - not even the student textbooks), but Mystery Science is SO much more engaging

Toluca is the best! I’ve used her for the last few years! Kiwi crates are the best too. I used to buy them for my own kids too!

3rd teacher in Nor Cal as well. We also use benchmark so it’s so cool to see how you taught fables and what you did. I’m curious to see how you’re going to teach about similes because I feel like the two poems in our Unit 2 Benchmark is so meh

3rd grade ELA teacher in TX here! We took our first ELA unit test (fiction) and it was bombed. 😂 Do you do a small group every day to review said bombed test or do it whole class or…? I love fresh ideas. And I love the idea of ONE group a day and doing a deep dive with them!

Your kids are so young. I'd hate to he away from my kids daily while teaching other kids. That has to be a big ordeal in your day to day life. Hopefully you can be at home with yours more. Great teaching strategies. God 🙌 bless

This was great! I used your old centers video to set up mine in 2nd grade and it was AMAZING! I can’t wait to see the new one! I was wondering if you had a link for the blue and green chairs in your room? I desperately need a new one!

Do you use Jack and Janet kids take turns reading around the group and answering questions at the end of the session and do you use toby paper back phonics book you write in that is what I did in 3rd grade

I’m curious how your early finisher with kiwico works logistically. Do you have one per class? How do you make it work with different kids using it and coming to work on it when they finish. Can you reuse it?
@gingerhampton Жыл бұрын
I was wondering, can you reuse the KiwiCo over again or is it a one used item?

Question: how do you get your kids to do their work in each station without having arguments or being loud when you have to teach a small group and can't supervise the others groups?

Set excitement high expectations, have rewards when they are on task and related consequences when they aren’t. And follow through
