Well, this is better than most of the material in the last DP album Turning to Crime. But it doesn't mean that the last DP album was bad. Nevertheless, now I'm exited (or not so worried) about the future of DP. I saw him live last year 2022, and I think that he is still warming up with DP material and the band. So the best part is yet to come. And I'm also happy to say that I had listened a to Simon (with Don Airey projects) also before his new DP post, and I noticed that he is a really solid musician already then. So I was not surprised on the choice. Just for discussion, a propoer term for Simon would be a musician and a guitar player. -- edit 19 July 2024: The new DP album came out today - and it's great! 🙂
