​@@Platica.Vasile Act 1 was nice, but this is much better to me. I think her voice/technique was in a better shape in this as she had to sing many opera and classical songs, also maybe the structure of the place made her voice soars more, it sounds less dry.

@@Marcusrafaelfet I agree with you, but as Tarja said she belongs to both world, rock and classic. I've seen her get a bit casual with Nemo, Innocence, maybe with Serene, where she just avoids those highes, but I think of her trying to conserve her voice. I don't think anyone can sing day after day or at 3 day span songs with high notes. This DVD is a unique performance, I do hope to see something like this again. Similar to this is last winter's tour where she clearly showed everybody, without intent, that she is still there. You see you're had me thinking a bit about how long a soprano can keep her voice pristine and many say that beyond 50 problems start to occur, that's why I want her to release an album as soon as the band gets together or at least to write something, something to exceed the expectations of all of us, plus she started to write on her own.

@@Platica.Vasile I actually think the same, especially lately she's been simplifying some of her songs to make things easier on her voice on tour, and I agree it's probably for preserving it. As a singer gets older they really need to start being more careful, so this might be the wisest thing to do if she's not feeling comfortable hitting those notes every night (not calling her old at all, but things gets harder with age). Another thing that comes to my mind is that she sang those songs so many times that maybe she gets tired of them, also she have said in a few interviews she doesn't like to sing a song the same way everytime. Her voice is very well preserved for 45 anyway, most of the changes we see comes from technique adjustments and not maturing (and maybe a little from pregnancy, wich can change a woman's voice and body a lot due to the hormonal explosion they get), and that probably comes from being very disciplined vocally and with her lifestyle in general, she's always exercising and eating well, so I think she will still sound great for a long time, especially if she keeps taking care of her voice and health overall. I would actually say that when it comes to classical singing she improved a lot over the years, I've seen she hit some of her best and most consistent Eb6s on Phantom performances from 2019, and she sounded better than ever on her Noche Escandinava concert that same year, I know it's been a few years already but I think it was the last time she did a classical concert :/. Even her Christmas tours are so great, her Pie Jesu performances are simply beautiful, my favorite is the lighter version from 2017, but she sounded just as great in 2022 with stronger vocals (technique adjustments). I can't wait to hear her sing classical again.

Agree with you both. Saw Tarja last night and her vocals are still there, but you can tell she is preserving her voice, unless it is a special show. There's no way she would be able to keep going otherwise...she works way too much. She had the whole last leg of the ITR European tour... then she had the Finnish tour, now the North American tour, next is the Summer festivals, then the South American tour, then the Christmas shows.. I got to the hotel exhausted. I can't imagine how tired she was...Now, I understand why she uses only 20 per cent of her voice in most rock shows. She wouldn't be able to keep singing otherwise. Professional opera singers can sing well into their sixties, but Tarja is constantly switching techniques and touring all the damn time. I wish she would take a year off rest her voice and record a classical album while she is on her prime.
