Manure fertilizer will carry risks (maybe unless super dried/decomposed) so try mo one pond nga FPJ la ang fertilizer. Although nabasa ko ghap that azolla is nitrogen fixing so they don't need nitrogen as much as they do phosphorus (for roots). Myda ako mini ponds na gintry ko fpj/calphos just last week. Will check bwas kung may progress/change.

Hello Sir Norb... Naghuna² pud ko ana nga mag gamit sa FPJ and others... Pero gabutang mi Calphos sa una nya naubusan mi ug stock... @@LaMesNaturalFarm 1 pond azolla, 1 pond duckweed, tapos mga 8 ada nga small containers for azolla ghap. Kung kaya niyo mag natural pond or fishpond mas maupay ada. Net la if necessary para maprotect an azolla kung myda isda

@@Norbingel nice po, yan actually plan po namin sa containers tapos gawan ng rack/stante. Oo nga po maganda talaga yung natural pond talaga kaso super mainit po dito lately... Kahit yung azolla trapond po namin natutuyo. Jan po ba?

@@LaMesNaturalFarm pirmi nauran ddi so waray problema tubig yana. Gusto ko ghap natural pond pero bangin kasi di maghold tubig an tuna (not enough clay content) ha area nga pwede ig-pond. Tapos pag summer sure ghap na magmamara. Dapat talaga either makakahold hiya tubig or myda ka replenishment source. Better both.

Sustainable setup ana maam saging sa imong dike then azolla pond in between. Ang saging serves as shade. Then in between pa sa saging pwede pa ang ginger or other crops and even madre de agua. Ayaw na gamit trapal if you have natural/abundant supply of water. Study the setup of permaculture, food forests etc.

Unya dried form sa azolla ang the best kung gamiton nimo sa laying hens. Sa akoa baboy fermented azolla ang mix sa commercial feeds. Maayo kaayo ang resulta. Makahurot ka 2 bags commercial naa na motimbang ug 80-100kg sa baboy. Grow out period nako recently naa nitimbang 120+ in 3months and 1 week.

There is a study on researchgate that when Azolla Caroliana is cooked, it cuts down on the polyphenols and becomes "safer" for human consumption. All other varieties had too high a level to be considered safe.
