Dr. Alex Tubio does this every Sunday evening. He calls it the Tubio Lift because he patients called it that. He always admits that it's actually a well known lift throughout the Chiropractic World. It's nice to actually see others Chirpactors on KZbin doing this. I love watching this channel

Thanks Steph, I'm friends with Dr. Tubio, we correspond on a regular basis. I admire his technique very much, and I'm in awe how fast his hands are. The seated occipital lift has been around for 100 years. He made it popular on Instagram and youtube. The occipital lift that is taught more in school is the supine version which I did on my last Frozen shoulder video, a few days ago. Its when the patient lies flat on his back.

I watch a lot of chiro videos. I usually do a fast forward to the adjustments. I’ve not seen this Dr. before so I started watching and was enthralled from beginning to end. I liked the diagnosis and explanation before adjusting. The patient feedback was spot on too. No one can “act” that well without an Emmy so I conclude this is a true situation. I truly smiled for her when she expressed relief. I know exactly how that feels. Great job !!! I hope there’s a follow up

I have noticed bc your room size when using the y strap you do a more vertical pole instead of a horizontal. I have heard many your patients say they didn't feel it all the way down their back just up in the shoulders in the neck area. Watching many of the other doctors using the white strap or the ring dinger it's more of a lateral horizontal pull where yours seems to be more angled up therefore maybe not getting the adjustment all the way down the spine. Does any of that sound somewhat correct? That's just my observation from watching thousands of these videos and wanting the y strap done so bad. I will be visiting you I live in Connecticut

Hi Kevin, thanks for your comment. I have been experimenting with angles. If someone has mostly neck and upper back I try to get the release in that area. At my chiro school, I went to Life in Atlanta, Ga. My teachers were very adamant about knowing which bone and which angle you were trying to affect. The Y-Strap is the antithesis of that. It is a dramatic technique, and is fun to watch on YT but it isn't specific, and that sometimes concerns me. I have over a Y-Strap playlist with 119 videos. I have done some with big pulls reaching for the lower back, and high angles, and low angles. The more I do it, the more I want to get the area, I'm targeting. This may not be what you want to see, but first and foremost I'm trying to deliver the best care to my patient. I do work out of a small office. That can change which techniques I choose. I don't do the Y-strap or any other technique exactly the same way every time, because I try to tailor it to the person I'm working with.
