Kirk ) now these are the capabilities I would have imagined myself. Agreed that the word "quantum" was overused but, overall I really enjoyed this story and thanks for sharing.

I liked the story. I do agree with others that the word "quantum" got over used quite a bit. I'm ambivalent on the Chen complaint. At least it wasn't Sarah Chen in this story. My theory is that these stories are set in a multiverse where Sarah Chen appears in each. At some point, the humans will discover the multiverse and all the Sarah Chens will meet up for a crazy happy hour!!

1) If you can shift through matter, you shouldn't be able to walk on a floor 2) It says Kate reports her findings to the General, bu in direct speech she only says "you're not gonna believe what we found."? What kinda BS report is that? 3) Quantum this, quantum that! It's like everything gets cooler if you tack space to it (ship -> space ship, cat -> space cat, gun -> space gun) only with quantum. 4) They learn stuff at rates that are crazy and pull new tricks up their sleeves like it's Tuesday? Where's the struggle? 5) Underdog to topdog in less than a year? Without breaking a sweat? Ya gotta be joking.

So quantum is the modern eras Atomic catch phrase they used in the fifties and sixties. And never mind doing shots on every quantum, do a dab hit instead. You win if you are still awake by the end of the story.

I hate this Chen as much if not more than the rest of you guys! But he’s not using the name as much now at least he’s using a variety of other names. Maybe one day he’ll take his head out of the toilet and never use Chen ever again?! But as long as he only uses it every once in a while, I don’t have a problem with it. 👍👍 I will give it a definite two thumbs up this time. 😃
