NICE! If I'm not mistaken, you actually payed attention to the updated position of earth in the milkyway galaxy. As a japanese team discovered rather recently, after measuring our surrounding stars for over 2 years, we are actually at about half way between the core and edge of the galaxy. The old position of earth in our galaxy, which was calculated in the 70s I believe, estimated us much closer to the edge, as seen all science fiction.

Very interesting stuff. You are obviously a fan of the Halo series from how many Halo ship designs you have used, and I have to imagine you are also a fan of Battlestar Galactica (what scifi space battle fan isn't?) but are you familiar with the Gundam Universal Century setting? Ignoring the mecha aspects of it there is a lot of great inspiration for scifi settings. Especially in the Gundam Zeta, Gundam ZZ, and Gundam Unicorn series (Unicorn has the more modern animation and storytelling)
