There are 2 problems with detected but unstudied asteroids. As they head toward our planet they might encounter other asteroids or space junk, and at their high rate of speed break off chunks of asteroid that then are on a separate trajectory and more likely to veer towards Earth due to less momentum to pass by . The second is in the leaving of earth in the sector where Earth’s gravity is acting to decelerate the object. Not knowing the integrety of the formation, decelerating forces could cause the asteroid to break apart dependingon the angl it sweeps through - the worst case being as it just passes Earth and acceleration switches to a pulling force.

Just a thought. There seems to be a lot more asteroid debri around these days. Could they be a prelude to a bigger event? My reason. If some where a long time ago . Say maybe a million years ago. Ikn maybe from a super nova or countless other reasons. Then the debri from that would start small and just get bigger. To the point of a very large amount of rocks coming all at once? Just a thought. I remember watching something by the BBC a long time ago. Something like , when our solar system goes through the central plain of our galaxy ( A very busy area) it can disturb the ort cloud. It takes about a million years for the disturbed asteroids and meteors to reach the inner parts of our solar system. I'm pretty sure they reckoned it had been about a million years since we last passed through it. So that might explain something. Or not.

An object of that size, at that speed, at that trajectory, would most likely burn up entirely before any little fragment made it to strike land. Even a full on airburst wouldn’t do much damage to we ground dwellers. Tunguska was about 100 meters in diameter. Chelyabinsk was around 20-25 meters. This one is smaller than Chelyabinsk. In an airburst scenario, It might have the mass and energy to break windows and scare the hell out of people, but that’s about it.

If Earth's gravty is pulling the moon permanently, why is this mini moon not staying??? Is this mini moon the size of the ISS? If so why the space station never go out of space but a tiny rock will? In Bible there is a spiritual theme of double portion. Christians who are citizens of the Kingdom of God receive a double blessing. Elijah the prophet told Elisha if he sees him taken into heaven he will receive a double blessing. Conversely pagans basically anyone that rejects Christ will receive double judgement. In Book of Revelation Babylon aka Women riding the beast aka kingdom of paganism and its cituzens receive double judgement as proclaimed by angels in Book of Revelation. In addition Bible prophecy is happening in real time events in Matthew 24 like wars, earthquakes, pandemics are happening. In summary, thesea are all signs that happen prior to the second return of Christ. In summary, I would encourage everyone to repent of your sins and embrace the truth in the Bible that your sins can be forgiven through Jesus Christ and you receive eternal life in heaven. Book of Revelation and Bible describe cosmetic events that will happen prior to the second return of Christ so from a biblical perspective this event is not surprising.

@trinkingАй бұрын
That’s what I’m sayin…this whole situation feels weird. It’s leaving here and going back to the NEO Arjuna asteroid belt and coming back around Earth in 31 years during 2055. Doesn’t that mean we should’ve seen this same exact asteroid 31 years ago in 1993?? So either this asteroid doesn’t follow the rules/laws of planetary gravitational pull, it’s not actually from the Arjuna belt, or it’s not an actually an asteroid?? Also, how is this going to affect our tides? I know it’s only 22 miles wide but if an object of that size would cause catastrophic events if it hit earth then why wouldn’t it cause some kind of change to our gravity down here? If our gravitational pull is strong enough to slow it down from 22,000 mph and hold it for 50+ days then how is it leaving Earth’s gravity? I understand the basis of slingshotting a satellite off a gravitational orbit BUT we don’t have satellites that move through space at 22k MPH!!! The math ain’t mathing good. Someone please explain this because I genuinely don’t understand and want to learn.

remember that our solar system (mainly our sun) is also circling its own Milky Way orbit.. this asteroid just intersects along that path, which so happens to be Earth this time.. that's why it has enough energy to be flung back out
