Well, Kubrick being such a perfectionist convinced NASA it would be far more authentic to film the fake landing on the moon itself. So, they moved his film studio to the moon, and 'ol Neil and Buzz filmed the fake moon landing there. They rest was well, as they say, history.

New thought new theory. Our planet earth 🌏 was once three layered. Like a layered cake. Now a top layer went off into space, and a remnant of that is Bennu. Of course there'd be no proof of this, because no one is TRYING to find a proof. Nice way of explaining though: earth....used...to ...be...a Super Earth, till an explosion slashed off a third of its entire surface and what was leftover, gave rise to life as we know it.
