Excellent again. Agree about the firewood gathering, Andrew. Small fire is all one needs.

Another one of my faves. I , too, love the solitude and quiet of the desert. I go every summer to the southwest in the U.S. to find quiet places to camp.

Wonderful episode! The cave, the camp site, the animals. I only hope I can have the opportunity to travel over-seas someday. Thank you for sharing your adventures!

My pleasure. BTW. I live in Australia and I visit the USA every year to shoot a series.

I didn't realize you come the the USA once a year. I enjoyed your last series in the USA with the camper 4x4. I live in the USA. I did a coast-to-coast trip on my own a little over a year ago, I camped the whole way aside from visiting family and friends. It was an amazing experience that I hope to be able to do again at least once more in my life. If you ever get a chance to visit Telluride, Colorado be sure to take it! It was my favorite stop on my trip. National forest camping, amazing trails to the tops of mountains with breathtaking views, a quaint downtown area, and overland rigs galore on the weekend.

Very inspiring video. Good advice re. firewood-collection. Seems like Safari-Drive have dealt with many of the concerns I raised about 4x4 rental (see previous video). Interesting story on satellite phones; I usually bring one with me from the UK. One time when I picked up a rental vehicle the company owner looked at the phone sceptically as I loaded it into the truck. "What's that for?" he asked. "Just in case." I replied. "Well, who are you going to call if you get in trouble?" "YOU, I replied. After all, it's your truck!"

Another great video, I see why you gave up on the double cab, the one in this video seems to be a bit overweight in the rear with a little sag.

Andrew, will you fly your drone in this series as it would be beautiful to see the landscape and sunset from a bird's eye view...?
@4xoverland7 жыл бұрын
The drone does become part of the story. Keep watching.

Andrew in a recent video you sold your new Landcruiser due to a variety of issues, however in this video which would have been prior to your new purchase you are driving a twin cab Landcruiser. How did this handle and how much additional weight was in your design in the cruiser you sold.
@4xoverland7 жыл бұрын
This LC was a dual cab with a might camper and tent on top. Standard springs. The camper would weight twice to three times what was carried here. It would have handled it, no problem. But there would have been a cost to performance, and I didn't want to risk the expense, and end up with a poor performer.
