What an epic band, man! Glad you discovered them for yourself. Let’s Groove and Boogie Wonderland I tend not to use unless i was having a party or something, for some reason never got quite as into those more commercial/in the club hits they had but those are still miles and miles above most other bands’ best songs so yeh.. :D

Are you kidding? Earth, Wind & Fire was the number one band in the '70's and '80's hands down! You MUST check out them doing "Reasons" and "Devotion" from their live "Gratitude" album (which, itself, sold in the millions) as well as "Keep Your Head To The Sky" and "September." Please check out Minnie Riperton's "Lovin' You" and "Reasons" and revisit The Beatles - the number one band from the '60's: I think "I Want To Hold Your Hand", "This Boy" and "Twist and Shout" best represent their early years.

I'm a 65 yo white male. In my youth there were 2 camps with regard to music. Rock, (which through the 70's was phenomenal ), and R&B / disco. This, of course, was of the latter. (Equality as phenomenal). I was a rare lover of both. This, young man, was our music. It warms my heart to see young people, especially young black people discovering a musical heritage as rich as it comes.

Simply awesome, they were and are even though Maurice, their heart and soul had to shut himself down far too soon in his career.
