To bad she had to endure this interviewer . How did he get the job. She has her priorities right, she loves the heart in people, unpretentious, sees the value in people and not the trappings. She was way ahead of most people she encountered. She doesn’t have much patience but good for her. Why suffer fools. She feels things strongly and is fierce protector of her soul. She is the gatekeeper with boundariesand selects who gets in to her space. She has all of us in her blood. She looks black but has a varied family history of many nationalities. Wise woman. Would’ve loved to have met her.

Skip says about the new husband of Earth's daughter, "I hear he is a very rich man," and Eartha stares at him for an amazingly long time, not showing her amazement as his question, is what I think was going on with her, and saying nothing, to his rude question. I love the way she stared at him.

Notice how Eartha wanted to expand about her aunt being a vicious child abuser and what that did to her and how the interviewer shut that right down and steered the conversation away from her sharing her feelings? He kept interrupting her anyhow, throughout but in particular at that specific junction and that was very disrespectful and rude. We could have seen a VERY great interview with her but the interviewer actually hindered his own interview. He seemed more interested in quantity of topics touched on than achieving in depth responses. I like Eartha very much and she had a lot of interesting experiences to share that were just barely touched on.

That's typical Lowe interview style. Deep emotional or heavy subjects are generally not part of his platform. The fact he attempts tp steer Kitt into a Race debate, is already out of the norm.
@mr.greenjeans83234 жыл бұрын
That was a low grade low budget production it amazes me she would go on a show like that she may as well been interviewed by Kermit the frog he was nowhere close to being on the same level as Eartha he struggled remembering questions and once one came to him he would interup her before she was finished but at times she'd continue talking she was so intelligent and he couldn't keep up with her I could sit and listen to her for hours

Orson Welles once called her the "most exciting woman in the world". Eartha Mae Kitt (January 17, 1927 - December 25, 2008) was an American singer, actress, dancer, activist and comedian, known for her highly distinctive singing style and her 1953 recordings of "C'est si bon" and the enduring Christmas novelty smash "Santa Baby", which were both US Top 10 hits.

I mean Skip E. at least brings this clip to the public. Gotta give him credit. But.. his style is so superficial and fan boy it's just funny. Martin Short did the best imitation of him with Jiminy Glick.. look it up. Skip just gives you the Hollywood minute in 20 seconds or less. I came here because of how much I admire Eartha. It's not about Skip. Eartha was a voice of reason for all time.. gorgeous and strong.. courageous and talented.. funny and deliberate. Miss this spirit!
