nonono Earthbound came out in 1995 which is probably where it's set. Mother came out in the 80's, and Ninten is about 12 I'm guessing, so he probably did it at like 20, still kind of early so I get it..

Whoa, that's far from it. Earthbound is said to take place in 1999. Earthbound Beginnings takes place in 1980. Ninten (and Ana) and Ness are both 12 at the beginning of their games (I think Ness is 13 by the end.) 99-13=86. Ninten and Ana would be about 18 to 17. Still very young, but better than 12.
