That's just a theory, and I'd argue it's a pretty mediocre one at that, especially when you consider that it would be easy to replace the base battle theme instead, granting chara a much more fitting presence, if Toby even wanted to give chara a presence in fights. And Megalovania definitely belongs to sans. STMPWYFS isn't even in the game's files, so we can reasonably rule that out, and if he didn't have a battle theme, Stronger Monsters would play in its stead. Also, even if STMPWYFS was cannon, its more lighthearted tone doesn't match sans's tone in genocide, when it would play, so it could be a situation similar to the only other real boss fight on genocide, Undyne, with Battle Against a True Hero playing instead of Spear of Justice. It's the same character, but with a different battle theme, because the situation, and thus their motive, has changed. Sans is just too lazy to properly change form for the new theme.
