@@tece0577 well, the first time you go there, in the present, the place is just that little area with a black background and the trumpets start playing. Idk about you, but I instantly thought "I am not supposed to be here any longer" and noped out of there as fast as i could. Something about that repeating section of the song, the fact that there is a brief pause, and the overall atmosphere that the place combined with the song brings. It made me associate this song woth something eerie to say the least

Reminds me of the creepy dream I had. it was a normal day, when from the sky, slowly descended a fleet colossal pitch black cubes like a meteor-shower, but the way they descended was uniform and controlled, like spaceships... as they slowly encased the sky of the entire planet. It felt so real, giving that feeling of both dread of imminent death and amazement.

EarthBound is such a perfect game. It leaves so much mystery, and leaves the player curious, and mesmerized. I always wanted to know more about Giygas, about the Cave of the Past, Magicant, the townsfolk, how Moonside is carrying on, many other things, such as where Ness' dad is. It is such a dark game, and so frightening. It is monumentally symbolic, and I adore the extreme good v. evil in it - Ness having to fight his own bad side, and feeling guilt when destroying Giygas. Unforgettable game.

I read somewhere that the song from The Cave of the Past with the horns, (I think it's Cave of the Past present) is taken from the Beatle's Song All you Need is Love. I love that song. It's creepy. You're right, it would be what space would sound like, dark, gloomy, and just plain scary.

Well yes and no. "All You Need is Love" starts out with a bit of the french anthem "La Marseillaise". This is the first three notes of that, then repeated, shifted, and echoed. However Earthbound has a lot of classic rock references, so it's perhaps more likely a Beatles reference than a France reference XD

I dunno about a direct one, but I do know there are quite a few references to the Beatles in EarthBound. The Yellow Submarine in Brick Road is a major one, as is the Yesterday joke. (Can you guess the title of this song? ___terday) I think that is all the major ones.
