Just took your tip, made the connection of 20 lb mono to 20 lb mono. Line is secure as if it came off the same spool. Great tip and saved me time. Thanks again Earthling!

I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. kzbin.infoUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.

Tried it 5 times before posting this and EACH time the line Broke with just a little tug. Using a 15kg (30+lbs) mono which i cant break with my bare hands but with this knot it was easy to break the line with just a little tug. Easy knot but won't be using it. Thanks !

Make the loop with the heaviest line and wrap with the lighter. It's easier to wrap and pulls down smoother. Generally I use mono for the base then wrap with braid. Comes out smooth.

Omg thank you so much , i have a baitcaster and i got a very bad backlash where it snagged into my bearings because it made a loop and i reeled it in and it got stuck so i had to cut allot of line but there was still a lot of good line . This helped me save a lot of line .

Good video, easy to follow. I just started doing this for my baitcasting setup because the baitcaster casts a heck of a lot further with a full spool. So I use cheap but strong line on the first half of the spool and then connect my good mono. This knot helps a lot thank you!
