Yeah it's the whole DOD 250 thing...an overdrive that kinda goes into almost Fuzz territory

LEDs and MOSFETs been around (in production) since the late 60s, but i don‘t know when they got cheap enough for mass production nor when pedal builders first tried them in their circuits. And the original Dod 250 used 1n4148 silicon diodes. And yeah the Germanium sounds rad!
