Best demo of the Gray Channel on KZbin! I love mine and run one channel for fat rhythm crunch and the other for screaming leads. No need for any other OD pedals! Way to save me board space EQD.

Which settings for fat and which for screaming? Thanks Chris.

Sounds huge need to get me one of these tone monsters great demo as usual Burgs I'm 58 years young and the older I get the more I want to rock maybe cause I'm running out of time but while my fingers are still doing what my mushy brain tells them what to I ain't stopping

Your videos are so great every time!! I got a EQD nightwire thanks to your extensive vid, which it deserved. Brilliant work, thank you

I think I prefer the silicon to the germanium diodes. I like a tighter, faster attack - much better for hard rock and metal, where you need that precise crunch, as opposed to the "saggier" germanium diode, which is probably better for slower, doomier riffs. I'm guessing you can "feel" the difference while playing rather than hearing it.

Argh! I want this pedal so bad. Great demo, man. I think you do a wonderful job of balancing playing/describing-tweaking.. Keep it up!

Great demo video! Very thorough and you took the time to really show the variety of tones this thing can do. Been considering this for a while and I just might be sold on it now! Thanks

I love how earthquaker pedals seem to have a crazy smart gate or something, it almost seems like when the pedal knows there's nothing being given to it, it turns off all the lights, they are so freaking quiet, but then you hit the strings and it's like an apocalyptic flash bulb goes off, it's on as fast as electricity and then totally gone, no buzz!

The only disappointing thing in that machine is their two channel can't be stacked. What a shame!

I know I talked a lot of shit about this pedal. At first I was disappointed. But after a few months of comparing The Grey Channel to some other "high class" OD pedals I must say....on my Fender twin amp NOTHING can touch this thing (so far). It's tonal quality and flexibility can put it in "The Gallery of the Greats." But don't take my word for it. Hook it up to a "bright" amp and judge for yourself.

@Ston Appreciate you letting us know the best way to set this up mate... overdrive is the hardest thing to get right at home when you have that sound in your head you want to nail and you hear it in a pedal on KZbin then aren't sure how to replicate it. I am a dark amper so highly appreciate it!

Use it with a bright amp....holy shit ! Back in the day I owned a couple DOD 250's. I was never a Tube Screamer guy, until recently. Anyway, the Grey Channel responds better to bright amps. On my Fender Twin this pedal roars !

This or the Palisades? Anyone who owns both or who has tried both, please give up your opinion, expanded or brief. Thanks!

I know it might be late, but I have this. I haven’t tried the palisades, but I believe this might be more oriented to alternative rock and the palisades might be more suitable for blues players. I know we shouldn’t categorize pedals that way but that’s what I feel. This pedal is very versatile and you really don’t miss the stacking of both. You can easily cover boost, drive and distortion with the Gray Channel.

Sergio Strazzulla I’ve actually got this on my bass pedal board and it sounds great. Somehow still maintains the bottom end fairly decently.

Isnt this a fuzz on the green channel and distortion on the red? Why are people calling it an OD?........... I guess anything that boosts could generically be considered an OD but I dont think that's what it is. I'm pretty sure it's a fuzz/distortion. Now I'm repeating myself. Thanks
