I always enjoy how clearly you state what you see. It definitely resonates but, I'm speechless to think he feels abandoned or betrayed by me. He wasn't available. I developed feelings I tried hard to contain. I respected his situation and never voiced anything that might harm it or influence him in any way regarding it for years. I finally explained my feelings without pressing the situation. Being close and in contact was almost enough in some ways. In short, I was a doormat. I was gaslit, breadcrumbed, stonewalled for most of a year and,. ultimately, told "why would I believe that you have feelings for me? I barely know you".
