I have been a fan since I was in my early 30's, now at 73, I am a much bigger fan. I was excited when you said "southern New Mexico". I suppose is is south of Taos but disappointed that it was actually in Northeast central, NM, directly east of Albuquerque. I live in Las Cruces, 40 miles north of the Mexican border. Last year we had 47 - 100 degree + days, the most on record. Thank you Michael for bringing your dreams out to the world in such an incredible way.

I would love to learn how to build an Earthship! You see, I live in the Deep South and like to travel. I wonder if it is possible to have an Earthship in a camper? Think about it: An Earthship-camper combo! That’s just my idea. Is that even possible? Well, I guess it all depends on the advancement of technology… 🌳❤

Love how simple the design is becoming. Next step is eliminating the tirewall for its labor intensity. That is the last hurdle to mass adoption. Has there been any attempt with rammed earth? I would love to see how that works.

Hi, I wanted to say I’ve been watching your videos for years and love and greatly respect what your are accomplishing! I was looking for a place to email but couldn’t find one. I’ve worked in site work excavation for some years. I wanted to share an idea to try for filling and compacting tire walls that could cut down on manual labor. My experiment would be to 1.) stake a form to retain first row of tires similar to forming out a concrete pad. 2.) lay out a row of tires against the form. 3.) fill a full row of tires with dirt to the point that dirt is mounding over top edge. 4.) ride a vibratory PLATE compactor over full row of tires. 5.) add small amounts of fill to center of tire as necessary and repeat step 4and 5 to reach Desired compaction. 6.) backfill and (possibly compact) behind firewall to top of 1st row. 7.) move on to second row and so on. Maybe this could work? Just an idea. Would love your feed back. I say this in all sincerity and with deepest respect 😁👍

The good thing about plastic is that it lasts forever. The bad thing about plastic is that it lasts forever.

these need to be constructed for all environments not just dry desert environments, we need earthship's that can function in high humidity environments as well.

@@marctorr5551 yes, but it uses the same passive cooling system and that won't do anything to prevent humidity

I need one of these on my mini-farm. If someone with a youtube channel or some organization would like to build one and film the process and give tours for a month or two only, or do a work shop(classes) I'm in Kentucky. I'm a senior citizen and my son is disabled. We would love to have a home in the country especially since I already bought an eight acre farm right before covid and I might have to sell it next year if we don't move there as I can't afford the upkeep and taxes on two properties.Thanks for reading, prayers are also welcome.

I want to come out and be apart of your team. My father co-owns a welding shop and we have a lot of extra metal always lying around that rollover to new jobs. I know how to MIG and STICK weld along with basic construction of a home. I also had a KZbin channel that had around 100 thousand subscribers and was growing fast. I got deleted from youtube because my content was inappropriate. I was 13-14 years old when that happened. I am 22 now and still have 5,000 subscribers, know a thing or 2 about thumbnail creation and how to edit videos in order to get a lot of viewership. I also have a online community that I could use to spread the news about the release of a new video. Please comment on this and let me know if you are willing to take on another hand. I don't care about getting paid, I want to see your project grow and provide people with an escape from the stressful reality we are all facing. I can work 7 days a week and am willing to give my time to your cause. I will also shoot you an email because I am having a difficult time right now. I don't want to slave for a large corporation and would rather make a difference.

Why do the cooling tubes have to be metal? I feel that in time the steel tubing would rust and decay with moisture and humidity
@marctorr55513 ай бұрын
It might be that metal transfers temperature faster than plastic. By using galvanized steel, the rust issue is addressed to a considerable extent.
