Decades of growth - part 8. Take a trip down memory lane...what this garden originally looked like!

Hello everyone, welcome to the latest installment of this series. I took a leaf out of my other free clean up and decided to include the first walkthrough of this job at the start of the video to give you all a reminder of the progress that has been made so far. I honestly forgot how bad this yard was when I started (suppressed maybe???) I do take pride in my work but as much as I don't generally like to brag, I am proud of the work that has been done to date.
I had to cut the work I did out the backyard short due to wanting to quickly mow the front yard. Next time I visit this property I will have a solid three hours to clear as much of these garden beds as I can!
The work that is now being done at this property will be done without any cost to the client. This is possible thanks the revenue I am earning through KZbin advertising as well as the Buy Me A Coffee website I have created, the link to this page is below:

There is still a fair bit of work to do at this property but the main areas are now under control and the owner and his dog have been able to enjoy their backyard once again :)

This was a well loved garden long ago. I can see the beauty. I don’t know how far you’re going in restoring it but I hope you can continue until it’s beautiful again. I’ll watch every video. I watch a lot of garden/mowing videos. I’ve never seen anyone take on a job as challenging as this. You have transformed this neglected backyard into a retreat where one can go to enjoy the outdoors. The shrubs in front of the house need to be cut to the ground. The new growth will look great.

Having all of those combustible materials piled around a house poses a risk not only to that house but to the neighboring ones as well. I'm sure the neighbors and the fire insurance company are thrilled that you are taking care of this mess!

I love this yard! Come such a long way. Loved revisiting the original walk through. Amazing progress. Enjoyed the quiet of the silent work and the raking sounds. The arms must have been burning after all the raking and lugging logs.

It's not just the sheer amount of work you have done, but the perseverance to see it through regardless of how insurmountable some parts of it might seem on days when your back is on fire. Kudos to you. I've got to return for a 4th stint strimming a large overgrown garden that's all on a steep hill ranging from 30 degrees to 45 degrees, and I know what it takes to make myself turn up and torture my ankles and back each time!

A lot of branches on the ground in that grass goodness sake those trees drop a lot of them. You are doing an exceptional job for sure on the garden and everything else. Was there a square inch of garden that you did not have to clean? Things that are that mind-boggling would destroy my confidence and I would not know where to start! I can understand how something like that happens. When I get overwhelmed, I put things off and end up with a big mess myself. I am binge watching your earlier vids and absolutely loving it. This has been a monstrous yard clean up and each episode I am amazed at what you have achieved, mostly on your own. It is a fantastic achievement. Can I ask if you will be “eco friendly” poisoning all those runners you are unable to pick out by hand as each episode I see them growing up again, it must be so frustrating!! Hi Amanda. Definitely easier, however it wouldn't get rid of the roots and it would just come right back. It does make for harder work but I'd rather make sure I do it properly and thoroughly 😄

Believe it or not there is actually more debris under a layer of soil! So weeds should be fairly well maintained.
