I’m an avid Boater I have a fairly large boat and I can tell you this, you guys are sitting on 60 to 100,000 pounds of steel and at high tide only about 3 feet of water. Your keel is so deep in the mud that it almost doesn’t matter what the weather does that boat can’t be moved. It sunk so it will not float. You guys are a lot safer than you think you are. Your biggest danger is hurting yourselves while you’re on that boat.

Me too - previously it was the time when Al started lowering himself down a rope that hung over a dangerous drop with no way to pull himself back up but thankfully he aborted that idea. This, though, was as sketchy as it gets. Genuinely a potential tragedy. On a good day they may only have had to contend with sharing that space with loads of rats, but one of these days that wreck is going to disintegrate and plunge everyone clinging to it into the cold sea. Don't copy this, kids!

I live on a narrowboat which is as tame as it gets, even in storms. I chose this life because the Irish sea sunk my 33ft yacht along with 80 others in Holyhead marina in 2018. I've raced across the Irish sea many times and sailed the Western approaches between Cornwall and Ireland at 3am in rough seas. The sea can and will take everything from you, even when you think you're relatively safe.

25 years ago, i was on a houseboat that pulled its anchors loose when the river we were on jumped about 10 ft, in just a few hours of hard rain. It was 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Our boats had been blown away by the wind. We were spinning in slow motion, with the anchors catching every now and then, dragging on the bottom, and jerking us to a halt. Until the water rose a little more. We were headed for some downed trees in a bend of the river with no dry land in sight. Just water and trees for miles.. When we hitthe downed trees, we all knew that the 2 story houseboat would flip over. My blood ran cold when I saw Todd putting paper towels and a cigarette lighter in a ziploc plastic bag and put it in his pocket. He said if we made it out of the river and the swamp to dry land , we needed to warm up as soon as possible. Cell phones had very poor reception back then but we managed to get ahold of someone with a boat to rescue us. It has been the most terrifying night of my entire life. I never slept on that houseboat again. I stayed there, just never slept. That one night made me afraid of the river forever. I had been on that river swimming and camping since i had been a small child. Loved having a houseboat on it. We sold it a few years later. Never missed it. Havent been back. It changed me. I felt your fear deep in my soul. This was in southern MS'sippi.

@Nyla_CorvinaАй бұрын
That depends entirely on what material the clothes themselves are made from. And how much your wearing. If you're wearing a T-shirt and jeans your not likely to have that much trouble with it. Same goes for if your clothes are made from a light weight material. It's when you're wearing layers that it becomes a real issue.

They were not even in any danger . There was no chance that ship was going to come loose and float away . That ship is completely ran aground . A ship that size in water shallow will not be able to refoat . The keel is completely buried into the ground and thus the keel is not floating . The only thing that will make that ship float again is a salvage team and tug boats .

You obviously know nothing about large fishing vessels. I have been a commercial fishing vessel captain for 25 years of vessels this size and larger. This vessel probably draws over 15 foot. Meaning it needs to be in 15 foot os water to float. There is no way there would be such a large tide surge.

Nonsense. The water level inside the boat (24:52) was equivalent to outside. There is no way it would fully float. You guys eating in the van at the end of the video just processing what you went through is so funny, I’ve had a few moments like that myself and sometimes you just need to sit back and reflect on the decisions you made so you don’t make them again hahaha

Wow! I’m still trying to calm my anxiety after watching that. My ‘mum’ head wants to say all sorts to you but I think you’ve been through enough. Glad you’re all ok xx

I'm laughing bc I'm also a mom and seeing other moms comment 😂 we're all having anxiety

When this all started I thought it was a large steel hull ship. Then I saw a shot of the whole thing and I thought you guys were nuts. I think it’s a miracle that boat is still beached.

The apprehension was palpable on this one, too much. The force of water can kill you. When Jon fell and hit his head on the deck, I knew this was not just another video. The words "slight concussion" and neck injury come to mind. Nervous laughter, shouting, dread, and everything in-between. Thank God you made it. ➕ And don't do that again. Food looks awesome! Peace Men... 😎💜🔱

All I needed to do was read the title of this video, and I closed my eyes and thanked my parents for leaving stupid behind. Throughout history, we have seen that It takes many people of this vein to make a discovery of any note, and for that they should be lauded and remembered in song for their daring, gallantry, and amazing discoveries that will propel mankind into the 37th century. I'm glad I am not involved in this step to the next discovery. Having said that, let the lads have their fun. It's worth a like and actually quite interesting.

One of the funniest videos I've seen in a long long time. Absolutely hilarious as it seemingly goes from bad to worse. Loud bangs followed by cries of "what was that?"...too funny....post more of "the boys think they're going to die'...
