Fionn O'Shea (Normal People) and Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World) star in this family action-adventure short film about a 15-year-old boy who believes he can save his terminally-ill brother with an ancient, sentient plant he’s unearthed in the garden centre where he works. We look at nature thru a naive lens....there are an awful lot of creatures eating other creatures Alive out there. Pretty much..most of them. In the ocean, pretty much all of them. If I lived in the ocean and I was sick and goin' down, hell yeah I'd hit a beach before i got eaten alive. Not sure what human nature is anymore,either..just a vague term.If Jim from the TV show "TAXI" was describing it : "Welp...its what we do !"

I've never seen such efficiency in Writing, Directing and Producing in a brief 30 minutes project deliver such a tonic result for the sci-fi theater as this one. You are to be congratulated! The Actors were very effective at their craft also!

You did it, you let the story tell itself. If you had, at any point, considered other ways this tale could have ended, like the crass, 2022, version where everybody loses something and it turns into a subjective, narcissistic bummer story that leaves you feeling resentful and cheated or a modern monster movie where the plant eats brains or turns people into zombies or something but whatever variation may have occurred to you, you chose this one, the hopeful one, the one the audience can smile about, the right one...thank you.

This film has something that I'd never seen before. At the bottom of the screen where it shows the part that's been "most replayed," there's a huge spike in the credits. I don't know if I've seen another movie where people were so into it that they really wanted to know who everybody was that was in it.
