90% of these alerts have happy endings, but unfortunately 10% weren’t so lucky: <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="1480">24:40</a> - September 29, 2016 (Both children were found dead by suffocation. The mother un-alived their next door neighbor before taking the children. She is currently in prison serving her sentence) <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="1731">28:51</a> - May 31, 2019 (Teen was found in a shallow grave dead by gunshot wounds. The abductor is current serving his prison sentence) <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="3182">53:02</a> - February 17, 2021 (Teen was never found. Alert was cancelled) <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="74">1:14</a>:03 - October 16, 2021 (Child was found dead due to gunshot wounds. Possibly accidental. 6 people were arrested in this case, but 2 were set free) <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="80">1:20</a>:12 - December 21, 2021 (Child was never found. Alert was cancelled) <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="100">1:40</a>:28 - June 12, 2022 (Child was found dead; murder-suicide)

Seems like the child in 18:06 was found (although the blokes talking makes it hard to gather information). Teenager in the 30:20 video was located shortly after the transmission of this alert. She later went on to have a few social media accounts but has been off the grid since 2021 EDIT: Never mind. Looks like she actually got married in August.

For the alert at 50:50, I think it would've helped if there was more of a description of the dog. Like what breed the dog is and the dog's size, cause just the color of the dog alone isn't much of a description.

Reminds me of that one story back in 2006 i think? Where 3 kids died in a car trunk because it closed, and there was no lock/way to get out back then, so they suffocated. The sad thing is, a female officer was approaching the car they were stuck in, but she was called back to another scene right as she was about to figure it all out. A dad of the 3 boys opened the trunk they were trapped in, and saw it all. RIP to those 3 boys.

This is one of the scariest kinds of alerts in my opinion. It's not even the loud tones that freak me out that much, it's the fact that if I wasn't as lucky as I am to be alive and safe with my family I would be in the same situation as whatever the abducted children were going through. What's crazy is this type of alert was originated in my hometown in Arlington Texas when Amber Hagerman was abducted and found dead, which is also what puts the uncanniness in it for me. TLDR, I'm scared of being abducted and possibly killed like half of these kids so that's why I'm scared of Amber Alerts more than others.

I did a bit of research and as it turns out that sound is used by radio station WBAP in Dallas, Texas; the siren sound effect was developed by Dan Potter, one of the station's on-air personalities.

@@TrentonMatthews Pretty interesting, right? It's pretty sad that the suspect in the abduction and murder of Amber Hagerman in Arlington, TX back in 1996 still hasn't been captured. Though in 2021; Arlington police announced that they are testing a sample of DNA utilizing newer technology because in 1996 DNA testing was not as advanced as it is today. Once the police finally capture the son of a bitch who abducted and killed Amber Hagerman and the courts convict him he will no doubt be sentenced to death for his crime because this is Texas we're talking about. They don't play around with sentencing criminals to death. In fact; Texas has the highest number of criminals (both men and women) on that state's Death Row and the court system of Harris County (where the Houston metro area is located) sentences more criminals to death than the other 254 counties in Texas.
