EAS - PDS Tornado Warning

A little bit of context on this - This is LWX’s first ever event with a PDS tornado warning. They’ve issued other PDS warnings in the past, including flash flood emergencies and destructive severe thunderstorm warnings, but never a tornado warning in this criteria. The last time a tornado warning marked as PDS was issued in this region was in 2021, and that was in New Jersey. Needless to say, this was an event turned serious, from a marginal risk no less.

i live in maryland and it was actually scary. there were like 5 Tornadoes and i had to evacuate.

This year has been insane for. Like a month before this was PBZ’s first PDS tornado warning which was only like a month after the first flash flood emergency in years

Not too common to have a PDS tornado warning in Maryland. I was even surprised when I saw this pop up. I even saw the tornado on a video. Quite sad.
