There's no reason that a future split of the United States would need to be violent. Such violence would only occur if the United States Government refused to behave like adults, and insisted on keeping states in the Union against their will (not unlike what happened in the 1860's)
@Mr.Nobody_979 ай бұрын
I think it would be the most likely outcome. Considering how the information spreads like wildfire around the world in seconds than it did a hundred years ago, it would be quite tricky to convince the world, let alone the union that war would be justified under the watch of citizens. If the union decided to stop the succession by force, it will only bolster Texas’ resolve to succeeding. Many nations will take the opportunity to help them, and the union would have to stop their advance unless they want to create another front with other nations giving aid. The union’s public perception will fall dramatically and it will be like the Vietnam war, when the outcry of citizens forces the union to give up and pull back. If the union was still adamant and ended the war swiftly, you’d displace many Texans, and it would be like the Wild West and much rebuilding. Wounds may heal, but their contempt will not. The peaceful outcome would be the best way for both parties, considering that Texas is armed to the teeth.

Federal law is subject to change when majority says so, ex. slavery. The US military, not even the current anti-American one, would go to war with its own people. In the most perfect situation that Texas is able to leave, the most you will see is protests. Texas does not become an entirely independent nation seperate from the US and it does not leave NATO, Texas becomes a country/territory similar to Puerto Rico or Guam. Trade becomes easier when the US trade laws arent in affect, and importing goods is not so hevaily controlled. Relations with Mexico could increase as well. People dont understand the texit idea. Its not Texas becoming a completely seperate part like Canada and the US. Its more like Texas being able to have its own federal government and control of its own trade, while still being in support with and by the US military. People like @C0astinG4mer dont research the idea and just say that Texas will become a whole new nation and get nuked or invaded or whatever they say. We dont want to be on our own entirely. We couldnt handle that. Our GDP certainly could, but if we were independent we would still be a part of US territory. Thats the whole point. We just want our own government so we can get rid of some of this stupid federal laws and politicians, on BOTH sides.

I laughed at the announcement that all residents would receive their documents within the next two weeks . A simple Drivers License takes longer than that on a much smaller scale .

Unpopular opinion: People say that Texas seceding is unrealistic which I do 100% agree is true but I think alert world is trying to put a twist on the format
@evil1st10 ай бұрын
Its unrealistic because the federal government wouldnt allow it even if it was legal because they do not recognize that people, especially the majorty have a right to choose. It definitely could happen but it would need a miracle. Texas wouldnt be fully sepetated either which is a misconception. The only thing that changes in a Texas succession is that trade becomes easier and Texas is recognized as a US territory rather than a state. The video is trying to put a different view on it, like if the US government did not agree with it.

Thats it? Texas just secedes? No war? No fighting back from the US? I have seen alien invasion and zombie outbreak EAS scenarios and somehow this is the least realistic.

@@F-15E_StrikeEagle The US just says "ok Texas is independent now"? Why would they do that?
@r0sal3sr10 ай бұрын
@@kittenzrulz Because there is no good reason to wage a violent war against a peaceful nation and trade partner at your border. All US Govt property can be puchased or otherwise negotiated or moved to other US govt territories. There are tons of logistics and new inter-govt agreements that would need to be worked out, but why bring in violent conflict?
@kittenzrulz10 ай бұрын
@@r0sal3sr Because if Texas secedes then the rest of the south is going to realize that its an option and will do so as well. The problem with revolution is it cannot be contained, it would eat through the US until there is no US. The government would never allow that to happen at least without a fight.

It’s all propaganda bro. Did you know Texas has a multi city Shinkansen getting built rn? The truth is they have the most cutting edge infrastructure in every aspect, public and private transit. So In anti-highway propaganda circles it’s so easy to take a picture of a high-five and say bad things but in all reality they got absolutely fire rail and buses

As a Texas resident who moved out of state due to family, it makes me sad to know that this type of movement is something people are truly deadset on. Oh well, goodbye govt contracts, lmaooooo Arizona and New Mexico would get all those transport/hauling guarantees and become a quick rise financial hub. I miss what it used to be. At least the image that was there when I was young.
