I only use vocalign as an insert as ARA misses a lot of edits I find.

Good to know. I haven’t had any issues yet but will keep a lookout in future edits

HI, Do you know if ARA is available for all platforms?
@5pieceАй бұрын
As far as I know, not all DAWs have ARA compatibility yet. A good chunk of the big ones do - like Pro Tools, Logic, Reaper, Cubase, Nuendo, Studio One and a select others. Ableton and FL don’t have it yet as far as I know. I suspect it’ll become more standard in the years to come but hope this helps

Looks interesting, but these to tracks appear to be off by a single period of time all the way through. Does it still work when you have different misalignment times in different phrases or even words?
@5pieceАй бұрын
I hear you, but actually the example track was off at varying lengths throughout - with some words and phrases more off than others and not a consistent amount as you indicated. I can understand why you'd think that though, as I didn't go super deep word by word to show the exact timing differences, but if you listen to the BEFORE example, you can even hear certain phrases are way more off than others. You can hopefully also hear in the timed/corrected final product, that it fixes all misalignment of varying degrees. So YES, absolutely, it works when you have different misalignment times on a word by word or phrase by phrase level. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend doing the free trial and seeing for yourself and your own situations but it's helped me immensely.

I liked it before you tuned it.

I totally get where you're coming from; tuning can sometimes change the vibe of a vocal, especially if you’re a fan of a more raw or natural sound. In this case, the singer was already really close to pitch, so my adjustments were pretty minimal-more about enhancing consistency than changing the feel. I ultimately tried to keep the vocal authentic while still polishing it up a bit. Appreciate you taking the time to comment, and I’ll definitely keep your perspective in mind for future projects!
