This is THE PERFECT technique for gel extension as it creates a BEAUTIFUL apex AND makes the nail look clean and nice AND this way you dont have to worry about adjusting the gel from the bottom as well as keeping the cuticle area neat at the same time, also the gel blends perfectly with the natural nail and it makes the gel long lasting.

This technique is a life(nail)-saver! It makes it so much easier to create a base and the build the nail you want to create. Easiest way I've ever "encapsulated" glitter over a clear polygel 😍

I'm so trying this. I have been using poly gel for a while now and I still can't get it right. I have a terrible time with lifting. Maybe if I do it this way it will work better. It takes me hours to do my nails.

Nail tech real talk: If you have lifting, this is not the answer. The answer is in your prep!!! Invest in a decent Acid Free Primer AND either get a dehydrator or use pure acetone. Push back them cuticles baby (that was my first mistake) and buff 💪🏼 then clean the nail with acetone and you’re good to apply your primer (I like modelones. Cheap and works) BUT if you were to do any length at all (notice she went quite short- which is cool 😎), you still need to be able to create an apex to withstand any natural bending that occurs with your nails in everyday life. I find that using the “straight” dual forms works well to give you enough polygel to build that security in the center of your nail bed. You could try Builder gel in a bottle. Sometimes I think that’s easier to learn from bc it self levels fast so no need to construct a shape. Good luck!

Ahh this is perfect thank you so much. Doing my nails with dual forms is so awful because I never get the cuticles right. Side spillage and then later in the week it wants to lift. Tried this method and the nail came out great with an excellent apex.

I am soooo relieved to read this! 😅 I always have spillage near the cuticle and it ruins all my hard work. I was worried that if I place the form higher, it will not have an apex. And I am using dual forms so I don't have to build an apex. 😢 I will try this method and well... Hope for the best

OMG THIS IS PURE GOOOLD!!! No matter how many videos I saw... Everyone's gel looked WAY easier to work with than mine, they just pat it, and it's done. While I need to grab a hammer and 500 bottles of slip solution to shape mine. Wich is wrong because using too much slip solution RUINS the gel (I have a cheap Amazon "ROSALIND" kit btw. Anyone who has this kit please, tell me your thoughts on it, cuz it's driving me crazy😭). My dual forms looks like yours, but few people use those, I went through hell trying to guess why they had that weird shape for the cuticule area and why placing all the way back to the cuticle made my nails look like claws (hard apex curve, leaving the free end almost curving on itself🤣). Also thanks so much for being so straight to the point, I hate seeing vids on the highest speed just because people will talk about anything for hours without really explaining what the title of their vid promised. I just gave up on the poly gel too because it takes me so long. My nails are awful and so this is what I chose to try. Everyone makes it look so easy, but it is not for me. Hopefully this will help me.

@@TheSkyrimette7 sort of. I'm left handed so my right hand went on pretty well and a lot faster. My left hand, however, took a lot longer since I was using my non-dominant hand. The test will be to see if they stay on longer. I sure hope they do.

With the forms, I find ones that are deep enough and pressing hard to nail only at the cuticle and then lightly press the rest of the way down so u have that gradual increase in thickness and then the form is thick and strong toward the end

Thank you for sharing this video. I have been trying polygel for few weeks and I had always placed the dual form close to cuticle and them cured it. It was so hard to shape and do the cuticle later and worse was nails got lifted so easily. I have been thinking of doing this separately but I gave up before that out of frustration. I also do this, I let it dry for like an hour and then I add a gell top coat on that and it lasts for the entire time the polygel is on your nails I love it :)

make sure to prep your nails properly before you apply polygel so they wont come off/lift easily, it takes practice/patience but im sure you’ll get it right ☺️

Yes, it has to be a base and top coat for gel polish, ANY uv gel base & top coat; you can’t use a nail polish base & top coats as they don’t do the same thing; the poly gel itself is a UV gel so that’s why, you can also use polish (or gel) to colour your polygel nails but you still have to seal them with a gel top coat

I did try once. When I did removed my nail wasn't in condition as normally after UV light nail polish. Nail cracking down and easy broke. That why I did stoped. Do I am only with that problem?
