A little tip, put a glass block one above the slab and take away the slab. The slab will reduce a spawn spot, while the glass keeps it available just pushing the mobs off. Doesn't change the rates by much but I wanted to comment on this video :) Have a good day guys!

i believe this only works with skeletons, magma and blaze farms. Even then, it increases efficiency by 0.08%

Just started playing Minecraft for about 2 months now, this video is a godsend! The minecart for whatever reason ends up in the chest and The trident disappears whenever I leave the farm though. I assume one of the zombies picks up the trident but outside of that and the pain in the ass it is to replace it, this farm works perfectly! Thank you for all you do for this wonderful community 👊🏾

The trident will lose 1 durability(the 1 that u throw it) and it will not break so u can use any trident at any durability

Small learning bit: Im on PS5 Survival, built this for a Zombie spawner and something funky happened. Built the design and everything, worked perfectly for a good while and then one time, the trident was gone. I thought it just despawned since I had just came back from thousands blocks away, so no big deal, got a new trident to replace it. THEN, I looked in the collections chest and saw the minecart with hopper in it. Got confused and looked at where the minecart shouldve been, BOOM, the original trident is in that spot. Not sure what happened exactly, mightve been something with loading the entities? But the farm still works fine :)

Above the spawner, leave a gap and place a glass. They will spawn and immediately be pushed off.

​@fulsom3 yeah seems counterintuitive to place glass not unless he means you'll get one extra zombie to spawn and that means the slab prevents that extra zombie from spawning

I love it. I do plenty of spawner farms, but I tend to do the more generic design. But I was currently stymied by a double cave spider spawner & how to properly exploit it. (I've seen cave spider builds, but they are very involved & always a bit worrisome. THIS might be a simpler answer for me.)

Woah it yields better results than the fish farm in terms of exp. In the same length. I've actually seen the exp. Burn in the lava ar some point with the fish farm lol

the xp farm works really well even if your in survival and very efficient it is also very simple and straight to the point.

I accidentally made a blaze rod farm which is still efficient! I have the add-on where I can pick up spawners so I used a blaze and it still works!

(can't build Trident Killer) Piston Red Stone torch & observer doesn't work on minecraft java 1.20.6 you can build the red stone torch, observer & piston but once you put the blocks to cover it, the red stone torch gets removed.

This works for my spider spawner, but not all of the spiders are being killed or the process is slower because they are climbing the walls. Is there a way I can make it more effective with a spider spawner?

I have built one of these in the past on my server, the only problem i have had is if im the one to throw the trident and im not on the server it will not allow others to get the experience unless they pick it up and throw it themselves. I don't know if this has changed but it can be a little inconvenient.

Its an optional method to make the farm automatic, there are other ways besides using a trident

You can replace the sideways stairs where you collect the xp for a slab and kill the mobs yourself, but if you want an automatic farm the trident is necessary. With the trident you can go afk and come back to tons of loot and xp.

Yes, you just have to make a tunnel from each spawning room to a central location to drop all the mobs into the kill chamber.

Use his Witch Hut tutorial. Go on Chunkbase, enter your seed, go to the nearest witch hut, the build takes all of 5 minutes. Stacks of gun powder, red and glow stone dust, sticks to sell and more sugar, potions and spider eyes than you'll ever need. You won't be disappointed!
