The card trick was set up before he cut the deck in half. Notice that he used the ace to mark where he needed to cut it... he could have used any card, as long as he divided the deck at exactly that particular card! Once each person had their cards, shuffling them didn't matter, because the order of the cards didn't matter... keeping his separated from hers was all that mattered, and by turning cards over as they exchanged them, his were always facing up in her stack, and were always facing down in his. When she turned hers over to pass them to him, any of his cards that were facing up in her stack would be facing down again in his if she passed them back to him, while any of her original cards would end up facing up in his stack. It didn't matter how many cards were exchanged as long as they kept flipping them over as they passed them back and forth. The cards that eventually were face up at the end of the trick were in only one half of the deck when he divided it originally at the ace. They were set up to make all the predictions come true at the end of his trick. I never saw this trick before, and I only watched the video once, but I'm fairly certain that this is how it was done!

And he has to remember at least one card from his half of the deck and set it facing upwards while making it as if he was doing randomly, right?
@froodyfellow68579 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Donadio The 23 face up cards and all the predictions were true for the 23 he originally gives her pre-split. It never matters how many she turns over and puts on his side, or how many he turns over and returns to hers (even cards previously flipped). But neither person can turn over cards in their own stack. Then at the very end, he makes sure to flip over his entire stack before combining it with hers, leaving her original 23 cards to be face up in final fan.
@froodyfellow68579 жыл бұрын
Froody Fellow The reason some people insist there are 24 face up, is because the girl sitting next to him messes up the cards during a flip/exchange, and screws up the trick, so they filmed it in two takes and edited it together.

@quebec26911 жыл бұрын
Simple, for the preparation, you need to take out every card you will predict, you write them down on something, in his case, he took 23 card, 12 random red card, 10 random black odd card and the 6 of space for punch. Once you did that, you put it back on the bottom of the deck and you choose a key card to know where are your predict card. In his case, it was the ace of space, I think. Now you got that, what you want for the performance is having all those "random" card face up and the reste face down. What he did was splitting the deck of card in 2 half, he search his key card to plit it well. To make it more random and having for the misdirection, he ask them to shuffle their card and he shuffle his own card. Now the move come, what you want is having all your card face up and shuffle, to do that, you put some of them reverse in her deck while she continue shuffling. to make it more fair, you ask to do the same, even if she put back your card, it won't change the side(face up/down) of the card. When they are tire of shuffling, you took all your card, reverse them and put in back on her deck. now you prediction is set. Sorry if I'm not clear, I'm french ._. by the way, great trick :)

You are right. You can see at the end that he flips ALL cards in his pile over, making all her cards now facedown and his cards face up. He knew where to cut the deck when he split the cards(the Ace of Spades). The deck was rigged pre-trick, thus his prediction works.

I have a method which I won't reveal purely for the sake of scam school and the creator of this trick. It's a pretty easy method which doesn't involve too much skill, more so just being weary of your spectators. @no-trick-pony42710 жыл бұрын
I found out how the card trick works just by watching the video. So if you have fun taking on riddles you might want to consider solving it on your own before reading this. Explanation of the card trick: TL;DR: The card deck is preperated. All the cards showing up at the end are the cards he takes when splitting up the deck. None of her cards will face up. He ensures this by the way cards are passed which acutally doesn't shuffle the cards the way you might expect. Long version: Look at the beginning when he splits up the cards. All black cards in the deck he takes are "favorable" cards (odd cards and the 6 of spades). Guess what? They are exactly the cards that will face up at the end. He starts by flipping over some of his cards and giving them to her. ALL of her cards facing upwards are his cards now. She now picks some cards (remember: cards facing down in her deck are her cards and will face up afterwards. Cards facing up in her deck are his cards and will face down after the flip) flips them over and passes them to him. All of her cards facing up will still be his cards. All of his cards facing down will be his cards. The other girl also flips over some of the cards and passes them to him which absolutely doesn't matter - cards facing up in her deck will still be all his cards, cards facing down in his deck will still be all his cards (either they were facing down from the beginning or passed to her, facing up and then passed back, now facing down again). Note that they could pass around cards to each other infinitely without changing the fact that all her cards facing up are his cards and all his cards facing down are his cards. He now has only one thing to do left: When putting the two set of cards together he has to flip over his set of cards so that all his cards facing down will now face up (and the cards facing up in his set, which are all her cards) will face down.

Spoiler Alert for Card trick: Notice how he splits it at the ace of spades, cause thats an easy card to recognize. At that moment he has the 23 cards of the prediction. And those 23 cards are face down at brian side. When she transfer cards they are face up, keeping the 23 down. When he switches his cards to her, they become faceup. His facedown + her faceup cards are the 23 of the prediction. Do a correct combine at the end and its done.

Here's how he did the card trick: The cards he keeps at the beginning are the 23 cards that will end up face up. During the switcheroo, these 23 cards will always be either face-down in his deck or face-up in her deck (just think about it). If she gives some of his cards back during the switcheroo, they will be face down again in his deck. In the end, he just flips over his deck, so now all the 23 cards he began with are face up. You're welcome! :)
