Moisturizing is key! I have family and friends that get beautiful braids and then keep them in way too long and the hair gets dry like "flour", over time it affects your roots and scalp. Always have a bottle with the pointy tip and keep the scalp oiled!

@@bleurose1502 Yes I do. The style last pretty long I honestly think because this video alone my hair braiding skills have gotten better. I could always do cornrows but I was never able to do weave. I've been the type to leave a certain style in for a long period of time anyway but dealing with 4c hair this method is VERY helpful

@@bleurose1502 yes, I do have 4c hair. I actually just did this style again today, but this time I was washed and blow dried my hair beforehand. I used extreme hold beeswax edge control for my edges (I used style factor last time and it left alot of white residue) and shine n jam to braid the hair. I love the way it came out more the second time around.

@@bleurose1502 I understand😊. I kept them in about a month. I twisted my roots after about 2 weeks to refresh them. I thought I hand 4 c but I have discovered during my hair journey that I may be between 3b to 4a. I have installed them twice. During the first I was transitioning. The 2nd time I had done the big chop, difficult to keep my hair neat in the braid. I took it down n about 3 weeks.

I did my own braids for the first time last week ...& they were a hot mess!!! 😩🤣I will keep practicing & use this method. Thanks for sharing!!
