My partner and I are planning to move to a House with a yard, and he always talks about how he wants an outdoor shower. In fact, this week I was looking at outdoor shower ideas on Pinterest, so your video comes out right at the perfect time

Sam, I love love love this outdoor shower!! When I 1st bought my home (long story) built in 1892 in all original condition (no wiring, plumbing or insulation) the kids and I had to shower outside. We started with a Coleman's camping shower. Then we upgraded to a hose. We'd fill up the hose, let it sit in the sun to warm up and then had about 15 minutes of warm water to quickly shower in our swimsuits. Then we were gifted this weird steel frame so I flipped it up on one end, wrapped a tarp around it and called it a win. Was lucky enough to find an actual outdoor shower (not nearly as nice as yours) at a garage sale and it was wonderful. (Showering outside at 3am in November, not so much 😂) Finally got a water heater installed, so our hose ran out of the window but at least we could take hot showers!!

This is so great...it reminds me of summers on Cape Cod with my family (back when Cape Cod wasn't crazy expensive like it is today). The outdoor shower always felt like the ultimate in luxury...being able to scrub off the sand and sunscreen before having a big cookout on the deck. Your whole backyard is so modern, and yet it really still fits that seaside, "been here forever" vibe I sense in the neighborhood.

Love this since I plan on turning my front hose bib into an outdoor shower as well. But FIRST, i gotta get started on the fence. I am SO INTIMIDATED by setting the posts! In some places there will be new concrete (like you did for the shower) so can you please give more info on the hole size/depth? THEN, some posts will go in place of 4x4s from the part of the fence I'm REPLACING. Would you dig the entire 4x4 & concrete out or cut it off at ground level and attach the Hoft post to the embedded 4x4. I've looked EVERYWHERE for some guidance but coming up empty so far.. THANKS!
