I finally managed to sew a lapped zipper without blood, sweat and tears. Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial.

I really like your idea of the tape to get the topstitch straight and nice looking.

This technique makes this so much easier and is almost foolproof. Thank you, you make it so clear. I will be referring to this a lot

thank you for your video. I thought you did a great job!! I have one question. I am sewing pool cushions using a lap zipper to make them easier to wash. Do you think I can use a lap zipper approach would be best for a slight semi circle cushion??

Are you sewing through the magic tape underneath in the last step where you are going parallel to the scotch tape? I'm trying to figure out what tape to use and some double-sided tapes do not recommend that you stitch through them.

Hey, I have a question that you can probably answer and it has nothing to do with this video: How would you iron silnylon to make rolled hems and whatnot since it's so hard to work with and slips and slides all over the place?

Spray starch, such as Niagara helps.

Back when I was in 7th grade home ec class. We sewed from the back side using the lines ON the zipper as our sewing lines. Turned out beautiful BUT is much more difficult with 69 year old eyes than when I was 11! Seems like cheating to tape things in place. But WOW is it ever easy.

So easy, great technique. I am not now sure why zippers always make me cringe =) I can do this. Thank you so much!

This is not how to insert a zipper. Crafty needs to review techniques shown on their site

The instructions inside the zipper packet are very good. Not tape needle or pins!
