EASIEST Way to Paint a Camper Trailer!

This is our second trailer ever painting. The first one we sprayed on. This one we decided to try rolling on. It turned out pretty awesome.
We used a High Grade Semi-Gloss Exterior Paint from Behr. It worked great with the Exterior Primer we used which was also Behr.

One of the best tips i have ever gotten when rolling on paint - paint the base colour, place the tape, REAPPLY THE BASE COLOUR, then apply the new colour. Reapplying the base colour stops bleeding and makes a PERFECTLY STRAIGHT line!

Use a high quality brush and proper roller to limit texture. Also a nice 320/400 grit sandpaper will buff any high spots.

Great job! U R giving me inspiration as well. I just finished full remodel of interior and starting exterior paint job. U answered my question re brush/roller strokes in the Pros n Cons. I actually painted the lower skirt using spray cans as well as the compartment door trim. Raptor Liner sent me a case and where U painted dark blue I will spray with Raptor. I'm still undecided re remaining area, but you've given me inspiration/ideas. Thx

Looks great! I’ve seen some others paint using a high gloss marine grade paint called Interlux. Wonder if you looked at that? I’m looking at using it for my front cap as even after many round of compound cutting/polishing the oxidation still leaves it dull.

It’s been two years a looks great still. We wash it every trip too and still holds up great. That being said, I would like to add some sort of epoxy clear coat or something.

In the middle of removing our decals now! I also used the scraper but the decals were cracked from being in the sun and that made it so much harder to get them to just peel off. So time consuming! Did you consider using acetone to remove the sticky stuff from decals?

It was enamel. It has held up great over two camping seasons so far.

Behr exterior primer - good with fiberglass Behr Stucco tan for the light beige semi gloss finish Behr Burberry teal for the teal Behr maple glaze for the mustard colour
