Here in Florida our faucet water has 2 settings: hot and less hot. That’s what happens when pipes can’t be too deep underground and the heat of the Florida sun warms our cold water pipes.

I use a drainer to take out the eggs from warm water before tossing them in cold water. That way I don't waste water.

It's always been my experience that if you wait till the water is hot let alone boiling to put the egg in the water it cracks

reduce your stove to a low to medium level. I boil my eggs from cold water and they can still crack if I leave them on medium to high . Also you can try warming the eggs in luke warm water for 5 mins so to reduce the shock in temperature

Not really, that's a myth, it's like the myth of using Vinegar, it's rubbish and pointless, it's like a pseudo effect, people WANTS to believe it, so they keep doing it, even though there is absolutely NO science to back it up 🙂

@@william474 Just add half inch of water to the pot and put a lid on, or do the same in another container with a lid, then shake for 5 - 20 second, and you can have a whole batch of Eggs with the peels off that way 🙂

Are you taking them straight from the fridge? That could be why they are cracking. Try leaving them outside and doing it with eggs at room temperature.

Also depends on the eggs. Buy those bad boys and store em in the fridge for a week. Then they get easy to peel if you follow the rest of these instructions. You try and boil them right from the store and those things hang on tighter than a female divorcee chasing the alimony.
